Pilot at 19 is not uncommon. Commercial flying gig operating multi engine turbine aircraft that requires a type rating at 19 on the other hand is very rare.

And I've dealt with some that have been thrown softballs their entire training career. Like CFIs that have never failed a check ride and cannot explain basic aerodynamics.

And many were killed or seriously injured in training and non-combat related accidents. Kind of a moot point.

Females in aviation absolutely without a doubt get a leg up.

I'm a fixed wing guy but 19 seems insanely young to be flying something that complex. Let alone finding an outfit willing to hire you to fly theirs. I don't know if a CH47 is single crew but I might buy SIC, even in that case she got a massive hookup.

Naomi is why I had to give it up. She started as a dynamic believable character, by the time I quit watching (somewhere in season 4) the female empowerment was completely over the top and incessant. She was a literal cactus impossible to relate to or appreciate. Similar thing with Avasarala. Took a completely mesmerizing character and reduced her to lol swearz mcpantsuit.
