This may be a few weeks for you, but it's not for real investors. Yes, people on reddit and here are buying short term to "fuck with the rich people" and mostly just to be part of the band wagon. But the main goal is to help these smaller companies. It's not a hit and run. Just look at the trends. The number of people purchasing (for example) GME stock (which is fine to buy btw) is steadily increasing (about doubling). Every 3 days there is a large dump of stock. That would be the reddit buyers selling off the stock. They buy. They hold for a few days. They buy again. But then if you pay attention to the stocks held it's also increasing (also about doubling) with each dump. That's because this movement is not just catching the attention of buy and dump band "get the rich people" reddit peeps. It's also getting the attention of real investors that are going to hold long term. Which is exactly what is going to be needed to help these small companies fight. Thus if you have long term investments going into CCP biz like AMC then you're going to be in a never ending battle.
I have gone there. And they did. I dropped AMC's several times. But I can't babysit them forever.
