I don't understand why it's always mentioned as "Hyde v Tillman" it was Hayes v Tilden. Election of 1876. Hayes being elected is what resulted in the compromise of 1877 which removed federal troops from the south and ended reconstruction. This paved the way for the abuses enacted by the democrats "redeemers" including massive voter disenfranchisement and jim crow.

Honestly, the deep state is just folks that work for the government that want to maintain status-quo. They're on the gravy train and always protecting their jobs at the cost of efficiency. None of them want to give up pensions, overtime or special assignments.

When trended monthly it took Obama 8 years to regain the jobs lost during 08-09. Trump is on track to regain ALL THE LOST JOBS in a matter of 7 months. Under budget, Ahead of schedule.
//Side note. I liked the trending so much, that I also indexed it against the start of Ike's term and compared it against the 25-54 yr old population. We are employing more folks now than we did back in 1953, and our population in this age group has been stable for the past 20 years while showing growth.
