This is making the assumption that they will play fair. Point out a trump supporter's history, they're cancelled. Point out a liberal's history? Results are mixed: they'll either forgive it, ignore it, or cancel you instead.
Don't play their game. Practice social media hygiene. If you have to use it for personal reasons, keep your real world identity sanitized and focused on anything nonpolitical.
