It was supposed to be loans to small businesses with 500 employees or less. There's one company Louis pointed out that has 5000 employees and got twice the maximum amount allowed by the program by counting individual locations as separate even though they obviously weren't.
China actually came up with a way to win. China and North Korea have huge underground bunkers that would withstand our entire arsenal. China has gone farther by creating a huge tunnel network between multiple bunkers, complete with armored hatches in the roof of the tunnels for launching missiles from mobile launchers and a subterranean nuclear reactor to power the complex and create more material to build more missiles. They would survive our strikes more intact than anyone else and emerge as the dominate global power, even if it took a few years.
If you doubt a nuclear strike can be survived, look at Hiroshima and Nagasaki after the strikes compared to what they look like now. They are thriving modern cities with no residual radiation.
Russia doesn't care about Syria. They care about their warm water port there, same as Crimea. They are a nation with no naval ports that don't freeze solid in the winter. Years of stagnation have yielded no results. Previous administrations held them at arms length. You give a man no options and he will start making up new ones. Russia will act in the best interests of Russia. There is no animosity involved, we are not enemies. We are rivals. We drive each other to greater heights and all benefit from our endeavors.
As I understand it, there are no subsidies for big oil. The subsidies are only for small companies like the ones that lead the fracking boom and helped make us energy independent. I'm ok with that.
