Saw a lot of this in Seattle. The mindset is “we don’t believe you can do anything for yourself, so we will do it for you.” They openly discuss this.
There’s a culture war going on up there in Seattle area with nonprofit groups that serve minorities are often led by white people who don’t live anywhere near the neighborhoods being served or go to those neighborhoods. They use all these ivory tower theories to dole out “solutions.”
The leaders who actually live in the community want to be part of these nonprofits because they understand the needs more, but their overlords won’t give up cushy pay and connections to let them serve.

Powerful because a lot of people can’t say no to getting on those platforms, regardless of what those platforms do. I have friends who regularly talk about how bad Facebook and Instagram are but they’re so addicted to snooping and drama they cannot put it down.

I actually voted by mail up there a couple of years ago. They mysteriously “lost” my ballot. I received a notice saying they never got it, which was BS because I mailed it. I even took time out of my day to go register.

I have consistently warned friends about letting their kids use this app. They dismiss the warnings. “They’re not doing anything.” or “it keeps them entertained.” All unfortunate.

And this works. I lived in Seattle for 5 years and people always assumed my political affiliation because of my race. I didn’t bother to correct them because it opened the doors and legs there.

I will never understand why women run up on dudes like this. Why do women try to fight men? Men who can clearly pummel them. My initial thought is that they’re just being women, ie irrational and impulsive. There has to be more, right? At what point does self-preservation defense mechanism click on and say “maybe I shouldn’t do this”?
This looks like part of a discovery request. While the names may imply involvement, you can put just about anyone and anything in a request. You may not get it all, but you can ask.

Looks like Seattle to me. In Capitol Hill, they had to close a walkway behind an elementary school because it was covered with hundreds of hypodermic syringes. Parks were littered with them. Sidewalks and courtyards too. People openly shot up in tourist areas. As you can imagine, there were a lot of ODs too. You would occasionally see dead bodies in alleys and on sidewalks.

They forced low income housing in my neighborhood, and on the regular, my Ring alerts are primarily from that one location. Unfortunately, they are putting more in a new development in the same suburb. Developers are just as culpable in all of this, since they leech tax credits from taxpayers through local govt in exchange for putting a percentage of low income in their projects. I bought in this neighborhood for a reason dang it.
I hope some civil lawsuits are coming. These kids are minors but above the age where they would be considered too young to know what they are doing.
The good in Seattle is that it brought me closer to Christ. I saw firsthand how evil people could be and knew I didn’t want to be part of it. My refuge was in life groups with fellow believers there. The depravity is so rampant and it’s approved and encouraged.
Fairly certain George Wallace also thought federal troops in Alabama were an overreach.

Unfortunately, there are just too many guys who live vicariously through athletes that they will continue to support these goons and their leagues. Just shelling out thousands for jerseys, tickets, and TV packages. Was an athlete for most life, and I love sports, but I can’t watch games or read sports news anymore. They’re both unbearable.
The sad thing is many of them (mainly talking about NBA and NFL) are incredibly uneducated. I’m talking barely middle school level proficient, and that’s being generous. I say this from my experience at a Power 5 school and as counsel to some. So yeah, they will gobble up anything mainstream or their overlords tell them.
I also think some of all this crap comes from guilt-ridden consciences. What better way to pretend you’re down with a cause from your multimillion dollar home, eponymous shoes, and fleet of luxury cars lifestyle than to scribbled inane commentary online and wear a shirt. “Hey look at me, I’m just like you guys.”

When people speak of national origin discrimination, it’s often referring to a foreigner relative to the USA, but I’m also curious for this situation:
If you are in the US and a patriot thereof in a war against those also in the US out to do harm to American patriots because they are patriots, if said patriots could get protection under national origin discrimination under Title II, with a tweak for reflecting today’s “public accommodations.”

Just thinking out loud here...
Seattle has been working on this for a few years now. Hasn’t hit the news as much, but don’t be surprised if this zoning issue picks up speed and Seattle is once again the poster child for the destruction of America. I will say that homeowners are fighting this, but activists and some members of the city council are working on getting rid of single family zoning. They’re running out of land for new multi-family units while at the same time limiting the height of multi-family units. Their proposed solution for more land for housing: get rid of the single family zoning, and stack more of their sanctuary population, homeless, and others in your backyard.
They’re also trying to make it in impossible to have a car in the city without even having sufficient public transportation. Slowly, the city is destroying and/or selling parking lots and garages to multi-family housing developers, while limiting parking spaces they can build with their developments. They’re also turning streets into more biking lanes. This is creating a war between bikers and car drivers, since traffic is rapidly increasing because there are few dedicated car lanes.
