It would be easy to make, hard to get governments to actually use. Like how windows is still widespread despite linux existing.

If it was open source people would be able to point to all the back doors and vulnerabilities. They are more concerned with "confidence" in the election system then having an actual fair election.

While being rude might make you feel nice, voting with your wallet would be the way to actually make a difference.
