So wait a second, Brendan's is the original and THEN it was remade by the Scots? Aha!!!

Geezus, I can't keep UP. Yes, it was 'lowest common denominator' raunchy humor but I loved it! Thank you - will try to look at these over the weekend!! Thanks for the warning - sometimes the remakes exceed the original(s) but that's rarely the case - case in point (to my critic's eyes anyway) is "Brothers", a Danish original starring the mighty Ulrich Thomsen I didn't particularly care for but the HollyWeird remake was far superior - it's ALWAYS the other way around, America always feeling the need to 'dumb it down' for the masses. No WONDER I've gone almost completely to 'foreign' fare. Watched a Danish one last night starring the mighty Madds Mikkelsen that was GENIUS - Riders Of Justice.

If "Mr Queen" Phil was American, at age 99, he'd be on his 17th or so Senate campaign by now. (And I agree with the Irrelevant Since 18th Century Royalty sentiment)

You, sir, are THE MAN. The ONLY Mrs Brown's Boys I'd ever seen was apparently the Scottish one (w/Brendan O'Carroll) - I honestly had NO IDEA it was a remake. I have seasons 1-3, all the 47 (I exaggerate for comic effect) christmas shows, the stage-shows. I was wondering if it just STOPPED after season 3 as have yet to find anymore - wasn't aware of the 'talk show' variety you speak of. Thanks for the education!!! It's sad that 99% of the 'current' stuff (by that I mean 20 years or so - all without FAIL follow the same pattern) rope the viewer in the first rock solid two seasons, then it's like all the original writers leave in a mass exodus and they limp along to a pathetic ignominious death. Sopranos was fantastic until it's last INSULTINGLY bad finale season. Homeland WAS great 1st two seasons, then APPALLING. I LOVED Being Human (the UK original) at first, then IT sucked. True Blood...Dexter. Law of diminishing returns. Do they get complacent thinking the loyal viewers will just stick with it? Insulting.

I'd link to some of my goodies but they're all OFFLINE on one of many external drives!!!

The second I saw his face I realized "Isn't that the guy in Foreign Body, 1986? Thanks for the link(s), as always.

Far out - is there a season ONE? You ever get into Mrs Brown's Boys? I've been trying to locate the FULL Till Death... series - ain't finding it - one site had season 2 and 4 and that's it - why bother uploading partial? Will keep searching. You might get a kick out of rarefilm.net - more FILM than series though. Some exceptionally, impressively obscure stuff there (requires a nitroflare paid account to d/l).

Oh yeah, I remember now. Thanks for refreshing the memory. This shit is SCARY - law enforcement officials can OD on just exposure to it, etc. Wide open borders, ChyNa pushing their killer chemicals through, cartels in charge of everything, nothing to see here, move along.

Glad you said it - that's a HUGE turn-off for me (you look great except for either the Tramp Stamp on the back [slippery when wet] or "Is there a friggin carnival in town?" body-wide 'art'). I'm SO thankful Your Humble Narrator Army vet never did the "wake up from a hangover with a new hideous tat". I try not to be judgmental of others' choices (especially since quitting drinking and EVERYTHING in 2002 - and i hate the judgmental militants who DO hector others) - I just always think "you'll like a fecken IDIOT if you make it to Elderly Stage".

Honest question - whatever became of the fellow CONVICTED AND EXECUTED in the court of public opinion officer Darren Wilson of Ferguson, MO? Where does Officer Chauvin go to get his reputation and life back? Is MinnesoMalia going to pay HIM $27 million for 'oops' or is that just payable to lifelong CRIMINALS?

BRILLIANT, and utterly depressing, analogy.

Far out! Looks interesting but, my gawd, I've isolated and devoted to STRICTLY TV series one of my extra external drives (4 tb) and THAT one is damn near full now. I'll have to take a decade off from humanity and just watch tv series. Both parents died at the end of 2020 (as if that Year Of the Abyss couldn't get any MORE toxic) - so perhaps once all the estate issues are resolved, will FINALLY be able to WATCH some of these!!

Did you ever watch any Til Death Do Us Part from Britain? Rising Damp? Have been getting into some Harold Pinter stage-to-film cinema off and on, The Homecoming most recently. MENTAL!

Geezus, if the pictured Tatted SeaWorld is the 'female' option, I think Bubba's hairy butthole would be preferable.

I have a hell of a time discerning the actual CONTENT of conservative (and I add christian to that) films anymore as the nanosecond they're released - if not before - there is a total barrage of extremely negative reviews at 'the usual sites' (imdb, rottentomatoes). I was going to download this a couple nights ago but does anyone have an actual objective synopsis and review of it that's not horribly slanted? Is it a fictionalized account of the primary parties in 1973?

I'm completely out of the loop on local (Nebraska) news since canceling DirecTV in early January. Was fentanyl seized on a I-80 traffic stop or something?

How this b-tch wasn't DISBARRED for her criminal tampering of evidence of Mrs McCloskey's handgun STILL baffles me. Are there ANY prosecutors and/or judges in St. Louis county who aren't insanely corrupt?

I had to get yet ANOTHER external drive just to hold my "series" (ancient stuff like Blake's Seven, Red Dwarf, Twilight Zone, etc) and just hooking it up to see the title of the Python doc in question, this is it in its entirety on youtube - 53 minutes, The Secret Life of Brian. Quite fascinating.

I always loved Python for not just breaking down the barriers but completely obliterating what came before them and being pioneers in absurdist, non-sequitur, surreal comedy. But their shying away from Islam - like all the OTHER 'cutting edge' comedians - I always found extremely disappointing.

Another fantastic doc - I THOUGHT I had but must have accidentally deleted it dammit - is Monty Python Conquers America (from 2008, 53-ish minutes, sadly not on youtube). Extremely entertaining. Brothers Luke & Owen Wilson's open minded DAD ran the local Dallas, TX PBS affiliate and would run Python in the 'dead zone' programming hours (late PM etc) and their 'cult' status started to catch on. So he & some financial backers decided to bring the whole gang to the US (college tours, etc) in the early 70s and then they REALLY exploded here.

I've read/heard about it for years (and Flynn was pretty much washed up the last decade of his life, dying a bankrupt alcoholic). This is a quick, topical read about PedoWood's long history of being an open sewer of rape, pedophilia & assorted demonic venality.

Errol Flynn, obviously Chester The Molester BIden's favorite actor - he LOVED the little girls, a LOT.
