I think it's something much simpler than that. He has grown accustomed to the life he lives now, one which is fueled by the financial benefits fueled by his continued traitorous behavior.

The logs we had seen until recently were not EPSTEIN logs, they were pilot logs, and the Roberts name was on an entirely unrelated aircraft.
With the release of the actual Epstein logs and the absence of a John Roberts on them, at least he stopped bringing that up.
Why would you open carry in Arizona when you can conceal carry instead, also with no permit required? Open carry lets everyone know that you are the first target. Concealed allows you the choice.
That said, the AZ permit isn't hard to get and allows you to carry in places that permitless carry does not, plus is reciprocated with many other states. Definitely worth it.

As I recall it, this image was based on a Russian soldier, Alexander Prokhorenko, who called an airstrike on his own location while in Syria and surrounded by very bad dudes. The airstrike was successful and the bad dudes died, but so did he.
The picture in his pocket is maybe meant to represent his girlfriend. While calling in the airstrike, he allegedly told them to tell his family he loved them. His wife was pregnant at the time of his death, however.
The picture looks like that physically attractive Russian female, Natalia Poklonskaya, who serves in the military and turned into kind of a meme.
