Trump already crossed that bridge, it's called the "walk away movement". And I think it would grow even larger if there was a "Trump / Patriot" new party. You wouldn't be asking people to walk away from one treasonous corrupt party just to vote for another one.
I absolutely believe it's time for a new political party, but it would only be viable if Trump was it's leader. And it wouldn't be a third party, it would be a true second party. We ALL know there's only one party in Washington right now

A lot of Christian Conservatives were Chick filets base too, but that didn't stop them from defunding the Salvation Army. They controlled the purse strings and wanted to expand into some Liberal cities, so fuck the base! The Brexit party won the largest share of the UK national vote four months after it's foundation because the Tories refused to carry out the will of their base. Sorry but I just don't think the GOP is gonna change just because we're mad at them. They think we have no alternative and will forget in a couple of months.
