Why aren't your kids responsible for college tuition? I never understood why parents pay for their kids schooling - they don't learn the value of earning something on their own.

My dad told me to pound sand when I asked him for college money. At the time, I thought he was being a cheap bastard. Now I realize that he did me a favor. I should pay my own way, that's what an adult does.
