Also pretty sure it came in the form of an "obviously this is true" statement, which would mean it was never fully argued or settled.

I misread this and thought you were saying they were allowing them to vote. This seems like a non-issue. Still have to be a lawful resident for at least five years with legal authority to work in the United States
