From what I understand (not a lawyer), it was ruled for NY, so if only if Cuomo does it again does he gets slapped down with contempt, fines, or jail.
That is, until there is a nation-wide injunction, using NY as precendent. Which hopefully occurs soon.
I just looked into becoming an elections administrator here in my state (WA, mail-in ballot only [wonder why we're such a blue state?]), and it's a long process. If anyone else is planning to do this, get started as soon as you can for the next election cycle.
You're not crazy. As much as I want it, and believe Trump to be the man to do it, the people who hold the power are rarely directly connectable to crimes. They have sacrificial people down lower on the rungs that may get the axe. You don't get to be in those positions of power without protection. Including from our own corrupt justice systems.
This is what happens when Dems are elected. They appoint activist judges on every level. They don't like the Constitution, and want it gone by any means possible.
When you read the liberal judges' arguments against the Constitution, it's terrifying.
