It's catnip for losers. It was never really about workers. It was about seizing power. The welfare for workers thing was targeted for the losers of the industrial revolution. In the rich modern West the blue collar has no interest in revolution. So now it's anyone that can be made to feel lesser than. Women, blacks, criminals, pedos, the mentally ill, gender queer, fatties, sex workers, illegals etc.
They're promised status that they don't deserve in return for party loyalty. What we've got now this writer calls "Biological Leninism." The worse they are and the less deserving, the more loyalty to the leftist causes giving them undeserved status.
