I was hoping for a medical reason however, particularly so I could remove my mask inside of a gym or similar areas where I would be exerting myself physically. Could you provide some proof of this? I've never heard a claim of this with regards to the ADA before. It was my understanding that there must be some form of proof, such as a doctor's note that must be provided in order for the ADA protections to FULLY kick in.
For instance, if a business refused service to a person with a doctor's note as a valid and reasonable exception to whatever rule it is the business is trying to enforce, then they would be subject to ADA related lawsuits and penalties. Without the note and only a verbal claim, the business would not be liable.

You let me know when you can get more than about 2 frames per second out of that camera on a zero. No one is talking about go pros here; We're talking about concealable things that don't obviously look like a camera or camera lens.
I'm a big fan of DIYs, but you're going to have to have a really bulky frame for the battery + real SBC in order to power your device, and it'll still end up taking up pocket space or something, as it would stick out so hard if it's just sitting on a belt. This doesn't solve the issue with actually mounting your camera in a usable but concealed location on your person, and the length of the cable involved for this, plus potential data loss over an extended cable.
My point is that there's a LOT that you're overlooking, and the real usability of a device such as this is questionable at best, even if you overcame most of the above issues, plus ones that I'm not immediately seeing offhand.
We need a bodycam with the explicit purpose of being designed for your every day joe, with decent enough quality, and enough battery life/storage capacity to last through a day. I don't think the framerate you'd get out of a pi zero is going to be worth having, and larger SBCs will be bulky and require larger batteries to operate.
