Be careful this doesn't turn into a "reddit detectives find the Boston bomber" thing.

When a business as large as LG makes something like this, does it sound like they're expecting mask measures to be temporary?

I've basically stopped going into stores entirely.

there would be nothing they could do about it.

Our city doesn't fine the individuals. It fines the BUSINESSES. Cop goes in there, sees someone not wearing a mask? $25,000 fine. So the business makes sure everyone wears a mask.

If the majority decides not to wear masks? The city is like "cha-ching!" so it's win-win.

Or, in our city, you started wearing a mask because the government forced you to and has police imposing heavy fines if you don't.

Have you tried talking to a local parish priest? They are usually pretty good about taking questions.

So...you want to give up your entire coastline? That's not very strategic.

Consider the long term. Trump won't be in office forever. Sooner or later, someone will be in power who allows the athletes to kneel for the anthem, etc. The only difference is now your tax dollars will be paying for it.

It's a bot. If you don't respond, that's it.

Did they not show up to a game when that 5 year old baby was killed by her neighbor?

A shooting is not a reason to forfeit a game, under any circumstances. When you're paid to do a job, you don't get to stop doing it because of some emotional event. Heck, when 9/11 happened I know a few things closed, and some employers were nice enough to give employees the option to go home if they wanted, but certainly not everything closed.

Ebaumsworld? If I click that will I hit upon a shitty meme video featuring Captain Lou Albano?

When is the pandemic over?

Probably never. Most countries "flattened the curve" to the point that it will likely be around forever.

Was this truly a pandemic?

Depends on the definition. Technically, the common cold and the flu are pandemics because they're worldwide. Some definitions include mortality rates, but I don't think there are set numbers to define it by any medical standard.

It's a bold strategy, Cotton, let's see if it pays off for 'em.

Maybe tell the Dem mayors and governors to allow law enforcement to do their jobs? Seems like that would solve their problems...

"According to a source that has been reliable in the past, the sh-t is about to hit the fan at Disney,"

Sounds like bullshit if you ask me. I'll believe it when I see it.

What local governments should hear: The crisis is waning, time to open things up again, the hospitals can handle it.

What local governments WILL hear: All these restrictive measures have clearly been working, so we need to keep them going, possibly forever.
