In that same point, "irrefutable wealth and life accomplishments".... what kind of person suggests either of these are bad things? Esp. since the scale of real wealth and accomplishments are relative to what any person thinks that might mean (for their own needs). That statement would only trigger someone who hasn't done anywhere near as well as they had expected to by the time they got to their station in life.

Also, being a successful adult means NOT being constantly afraid. Conservative people mitigate most potential life problems by having practical life skills and knowledge to reduce the impact of uncertainty. Even for events like the ones unfolding now. Do you need to be underground polishing your weapons and counting MRE's? No. There is some middle ground between that and pacing the floor 23/7 and trembling like Jello in an earthquake.
