Realistically, nobody is coming for you and your family personally, especially in the next few years. Near term, the biggest thing you've lost is your voice and vote. I think that's done. They will likely continue to improve this cheat system.
In your day to day life, they will tax you more, and pass all kinds of laws that suck. I think our lives will now be much closer to European style countries, with nanny state government controls and taxes, more immigration competing for limited jobs etc. It will suck, but it's survivable in the near term.
My tinfoil hat theory for today is that Trump was forced into exile with a promise of no future state or Federal prosecution against him or his family (which they won't honor). He was required to make the "Go home peacefully" speech to seal the exile deal.
