The same drug which costs $12 for a full, five day regime of pills

There you have it. There's no commercial value. We can't be flooded with commercials of some drug called Breatheanol with a woman that start out looking like Pelosi and can't breathe transformed into Melania skipping through a field of flowers. This new drug really just this existing drug with some extra bullshit added to make it unique, and it's totally approved for use for the Chinese virus.

I think even some companies realize there's goodwill to be bought with the existing cheap drug--you've seen they are donating millions of doses, etc. The politicians who need their kickbacks are being left out though.

What sickens me is how much the loans are encouraged. There's nothing telling these kids, look you little prick you've got to pay this shit back so maybe you should make damn sure you're working towards something useful. It's all about how they deserve to be happy and can do anything they want and it's ok just put it all on the federal line of credit it will be so worth it in the end for the enlightenment.

Then college is really sold off as a huge alcoholic orgy and so many think they have to make those important memories. The best thing we could do is completely disconnect all this from college. It's a school go there to learn things. You want to go to the party, sure the club is over there. They take US dollars and nope you can't get money for it from your student loan either.

I didn't know they'd been on vacation until yesterday. Was wondering why we hadn't seen Pelosi much.

Absolutely disgraceful. I have no problem with members of Congress or any other politician including the President taking a vacation. It should be encouraged.

When the nation is under a state of emergency Congress should have their asses in their seats getting to work. Take whatever lavish vacation the lobbyists probably bought for you when this is over and the rest of us can too.

There's a section later "Division C - Assistance to Severely Distressed Sectors of the US Economy" I think this is what he's whining about. It's about $200B and isn't limited to small business. It's for airlines and such.

It's still just loans and loan guarantees. There's no gifts being handed out. Anyone who made more than $425k in 2019 in total compensation cannot make more than that for two years and they have a limited severance. If it's an airline they must continue service to all locations they served as of March 1. Nothing sounds all that bad to me.

Bernie was whining about corporate bailouts. Not that I'm inclined to believe anything that commie says. Looks like it's all loans to me and there's a clause to limit the use of the money for executive bonuses. I have little to no problem with offering my tax dollars up to corporations as loans. If anything it might be a very good use of tax dollars.

That's the Dems problem though, it's not full of handouts for them and it doesn't give them any credit.

THANK YOU MR PRESIDENT

So many of us have needed to hear this. I always felt it wasn't just 15 days to slow the spread, but 15 days to get prepared, gather data, and prepare a solution.

Trump has never told anyone to shutdown. He recommended we take actions to buy time. Governors have gone crazy. Broad sweeping nonsense. Most of these governors should have pushed it down further to their more local officials.

In theory it's probably an overstep on his part. 10th Amendment gives the states power over anything not expressly given to the federal government. In practice, who knows.

What drives me nuts is when I get on local forums for my area. The amount of people all but begging for a full shutdown here is absolutely insane. It's TDS gone wild.

The Visible Enemy. Ugh, can't she be invisible too?

I agree with a lot of this. My biggest fear from all this is not surviving the virus but that unemployment spikes and damaged economy. History tells us that people that are struggling are the ones that fall for the empty promises of socialism. Whether it's the New Deal or the rise of Hitler, these things are rooted in economic depression. A strong economy is our best defense against it.

I was a lot more distraught earlier in the week. I've gotten to the point that I don't know what more I can do about it so I've let it pass. I already let all my elected officials know where I stand (and I'm not one to reach out to elected officials much). I still go out, I have been making a point to get food from a local business every day while I still can, I've spent some money with the hardware store while it's still open, I'm planning to call and see if I can still bid an outdoor project I was planning to do already, I travel a lot so I set aside some extra money for that to aggressively use when this all lets up.

I just had to accept that it's all I can do. I can't go down and force open empty stores at gunpoint or force my way into restaurants and make them serve me seated.

I will never support that BS. Forgiving student loans is one of the things that pisses me off the most. I worked my ass off for 7 years to be able to live and pay for tuition without loans. All to get a piece of paper that I'll admit opened some doors at the beginning and it's not something I use every day but it's at least offered me some value. College professors hate students that are working too. They really want your life to revolve around them. You have to fight and claw to finish if you can't make them the center of everything.

All of these people chose to go to college with loans. They sell you this lifestyle of partying and some nonsense of rites of passage and encourage to just put all of this on the good ole federal credit card. Then on top of that the colleges just get worse educationally and take advantage of the fact that there's infinite loan money to jack up the already absurd prices.

I'll be honest, I'm not sure if I'll have the balls to quit paying taxes when that time comes or not, but I at least like to think I would.

Skipped around for like 5 minutes. Bernie has to be the most boring speaker ever. No wonder no one is energized to show up for him.

Then when you think it can't get any worse some guy sings something. Then, you think again it can't be worse right? Now he parades other members of Congress so bad that they actually make him look better in comparison.

Signed up a couple months ago even though I don't watch that much. It's useful when there's things like this going on or just on occasion. Well worth the $5 to support responsible journalism.

Also proud to say they show it at my work lobby now and we are not a small company. I'm really shocked because if any of you work for bigger corporations you probably get it--they are always doing all this celebrate diversity crap. I take a walk every day and would always glance at the TV they would have CNN on just to laugh at the stupid sensationalist headline about Trump. It's been OAN since the end of last year!

I wanted to see Biden do it because they will be a hilarious disaster.

Didn't no Chairman Bernie was doing them too. I'm sure it's a bunch of nonsense about how if we had Medicare for All you'd all be magically cured.

No Chinese masks, make our own. We have the facilities.

There's a factory in my area that already made N95 masks, hiring 75 people right now.

Hell yea! He may have the most knowledge on the subject. Can't be much less use than calling Obama.

We need to call up Carter to see what he says about it? Lol

He didn't mention Reagan

Stupid media is stupid.

We don't need to force companies. There are loads of companies that want to make this stuff. A car factory can't make ventilators overnight.

If they are sending the Navy hospitals to California that could be a good way to deal with the illegals. "Oh yes, your free healthcare is over here right this way". Next day wake up on the Guatemalan coast.

A few minutes ago he said they would be setting up additional hospital beds in New York, California, and Washington

To kill time there are loads of videos of FLOTUS visiting places on the sidebar of the WH channel. Stunning. I don't think she's capable of looking bad. Most of these videos I'm looking for the advertisement at the end to sell me some designer clothes or cosmetics. We have the best FLOTUS!

When does Biden start his joke briefings? I don't have a record player so I need answers to when he's going to direct the government to manufacture and distribute record players in these trying times. I need to hear words.

Yep and it's great. I live in the city although in a purple county at least with very few cases. There's no reason for the 134 people of Loving County to suffer because of the city. They could split up their county socialist style and still each have over 3000 acres per person.

He seems to get the most praise of the governors Trump talks about. I think yesterday he didn't even mention California when handing out praise to governors.

I'm watching Texas now and he seems to be very much against shutting down statewide and encouraging the local officials to do it. Thank you for common sense.

I saw a comment yesterday that made sense. It was that doctors might be afraid to give it off-label because of liability. You know this time next year the daytime TV will be full of those "did you or a loved one suffer serious side effect or death from Chloroquine"

I have to imagine there's some kind of ironclad waiver they could offer up at the very least. I'm not sure that the President has any power to get into that much. If I get Chinese Virus, I immediately want Chloroquine unless there's some legitimate data-supported health reason I shouldn't.

I'm starting to wonder if this will all be over with before we have the bill that's supposed to help the people most affected by it?
