We had a gun buy back after the Port Arthur massacre in 1996 stripping us of all semi auto / full auto weapons, all military or "military styled" weapons / mag capacity blah blah blah the "whole 9 yards" as you yanks would say. They also placed restrictions on what we can buy only certain special permits can be used to get anything considered fun. But as of 3-4 years ago we surpassed the gun owner ship level of pre 1996. Sooo yeah plenty of guns here. We'd just rather punch a cunt in the face than shoot the bastard.
