Pretty sure you can keep 230. They just need to define the difference between a publisher and a platform. And enforce it! Seems simple to me to say a publisher can do whatever it wants but is open to lawsuit. A platform can at most curate content without comment.
I don't buy it. The president doesn't parse raw data at security briefings and then apply his big brain to put the puzzle pieces together for everybody who brought him the info Agents and staff do all that and then spoon feed the president bullet points. The outgoing president and intel community do not go on holiday during transition. Bill Clinton should have still been getting those briefings. Now if Bill Clinton knew something and didn't act on it or didn't bother to inform W, then that's even worse.

Many good people strongly identify as Republicans. Creating a third party will fracture our base and straight up replacement of the Republican party will piss off a lot of people loyal to the name.

EXACTLY. But who are the puppet masters? Can you identify them? If so, why not just kick them out of the Republican party? If not, how can you prevent them from infiltrating the brand new Maga party? You can't just ignore them and hope they go away, they need to be dealt with no matter what.
