I've heard of a "fediverse" of federated servers where no one controls it. What AWS did to Parler was unforgiveable; under a fediverse, that couldn't happen, right? Does anyone know how this works, if it's feasible, how to move every platform toward it, etc.? Is this a good plan to counter Big Tech, by going small and super-distributed?

Sheesh. Not only is Weaver a disgrace, offering jobs and employment favors for sex... he's a English illiterate, too.

Of course, now... Pelosi and the idiot Dems will probably impeach President Trump for trying to manipulate Twitter's stock to try to destroy them.

With buying stocks hoping they'd go up, the worse that can happen is that the price goes to zero (or near-zero). As I understand it, with shorting, however, there is no limit to how much you could lose. High stakes...

Would be fun to see Gab take half, or more, of Twatter's users. "Hey, there's no proof of widespread user theft!!" LOL

"Murder" is unjust killing. Clearly there was a killing. The question is whether it was "just".

Here, the people protecting the Congressional chamber did NOT know if the people attempting to force their way in were armed or not. In fact, the very acts of breaking the windows and trying to force their way in, is (I hope I'm using the term properly...) prima facie evidence that these people are up to no good.

If someone were to come to my house, even if unarmed, but were banging on my door/windows, breaking one or more, and were trying to circumvent my locks and various deterrences, I would be well within my rights to shoot him once he broke the boundaries of my house (Castle Doctrine is in effect here in my state.)

Now, you may say: but the Capitol is our house, we paid for it, etc... If I own a house and rent it out to others... Would I be in the right to go to the property unannounced, (let's say the renters are stone drunk/drugged, and jammed/barricaded the doors because they didn't want for you or anyone to come in to find them in such a state), bang on the door, perhaps breaking the windows (maybe I thought someone was doing illegal stuff inside and am steaming-mad; and, my keys wouldn't get me thru barricaded doors), etc. By all outward accounts it would look like I was trying to break in, possibly to do the renters harm. Now, if one of them were sober enough to whip out a firearm and shot me just as I jumped thru a broken window, would he be in trouble with the law? No, because, from his point of view, someone was ready to do him and his buddies harm by breaking the windows, and breaching the boundaries. My ownership has nothing to do with it. My behavior, by any reasonable man observing the situation from inside the house, would imply that I'm up to no good. Furthermore, if the person inside warned me that they are armed and will protect themselves, my breaking in (thinking indignantly that "I'm the OWNER, DAMMIT!!") won't save me from a rain of lead.

Unless the information has changed in the last few days, DC police arrested a number of people on the Capitol grounds who were illegally carrying, and they later discovered at least one bomb in the surrounding area. Since the armed folks in the room had no prior knowledge of this, they have only the developing situation in front of them to make judgments. But these later-discovered bits of information vindicates the armed security within the chamber, since we don't know, even now, if any of those arrested on weapons charges were some of the ones who broke in to the Capitol, those within the chambers certainly don't know if one or more of the protesters outside the double-doors (some with backpacks and garb that could easily hide firearms) were armed or not.

Apologies for length.

"... it's terrible optics since that amendment emancipated the slaves but there are no longer slaves in America and unpersonifying Corporations is critical."

Interesting. Relatedly, I've always wondered...

If corporations were "persons", then how come campaign finance limits don't seem to apply to them?? Why is it that corporations can donate many multi- millions with no consequence, while a good citizen such as Dinesh D'Sousa gets sentenced to five years probation, eight months in a 'community confinement center,' weekly counseling sessions and given a $30,000 fine for donating, without criminal intent, $20K to a candidate??

Belichick makes $10-12.5 million a year, and he's worth about $60 million. So, he'll do as he's told.

'Murder' is overstating it. If you had said 'killed', you'd be more correct. (or less incorrect, you choose)

Like everyone else, I've seen the videos... Ashli Babbitt was stupid for trying to climb thru the door's broken-out side-window (no idea if she or someone else broke that out; videos are unclear on this) when it was clear that there were guns drawn and aimed at the entryway.

Maybe she didn't believe she could be shot. Maybe she was egged on. Maybe someone talked her into it. Maybe the people behind her spontaneous pushed her up and lifted her. Don't know; don't care... That was really stupid. Could be, her motives were pure; then again, maybe she intended to do crazy shit. Whatever it was, the Capitol police didn't know which. As soon as she broke the plane, that bullet was hers. Tragic killing. But not murder.

There may come a time when all patriots will have to get off mainstream modes of communications that are likely now (if not very soon) being monitored...

Has anyone tried the Signal messenger app? It's supposed to be encrypted, but it "requires" a mobile phone number to register (right up front, that makes me less than happy about that...), but I hear that the app is quite secure. I'm researching workarounds of that requirement... Anyone?

Notice, in general, most-all the camera work is aimed at older, more stereotypical Trump supporters. But every time a younger person comes into the camera frame, that person pulls up his mask or turns around. I suspect the Capitol on Wednesday was crawling with Antifa operatives -- riot instigators, muscles, live-streaming/camera operators, intelligence gatherers, command/communications types, etc.

^^^ Sorry to inform you: Your post is idiotic.

You want to cancel all of Trump's accomplishments ("he was an absolute failure") because he didn't finish his presidency as you wanted?? What a laugh and half. Care to earn some money and buy a bit of perspective? G'day.

Naw. Hit these guys where it hurts: in their companies and pocketbooks. President Trump should declare them anti-First Amendment, and urge all patriots (includes parents & their children) to leave social media en masse on January 20th. If these companies lose 40-60% of their business, and have their stock values drop precipitously, that'd be far better pay-back than some token arrests that would likely make the President look tyrannical.

Minimally get Parler off the Amazon servers (couldn't believe it when I read that in another discussion thread here on TDW), or their whole platform could be cut off at the whim of the Leftie bozo Bezos.

Alternatives to Big Tech social media absolutely need to be homed on "federated"/distributed servers, where no one person or company has complete control of the network. No company should have such enormous powers as Twatter, Fakebook, do-evil Google now possess.

Read about it here:

Beyond distributed and decentralized: what is a federated network?

Power to the People!! At least 75+ million of us. (Bet it's more like 90 million... :-)

Appreciate the heads-up on the link! I just installed jDownload (as other users have said, don't let it install anything but jdownload), and I'm downloading the whole shebang now. Just about halfway thru the June riot videos. Dang... there are a LOT of them!! Thx again, NPCarrot.

As others have noted, Streamables has taken down all these videos.

Would swamp_clorox (the OP), or anyone early/fast enough to download all these videos *please *upload these to a filesharing site such as Gofile, and then re-link here? Thanks. I've been looking for a video journal of what's happened in 2020, and would love are archive these for when I bump up against Lefties with either short memories, or those want to rewrite history.

Damn YouTube for their f'king censorship!!

Mayors and governors (and even presidents!) are NOT kings; they cannot make law merely on their word. Blue who execute unconstitutional orders/edicts are OATHBREAKERS. They should be drummed out and imprisoned, just like the little tyrants who gave the illegal orders, when this country corrects.
