If they would have just done the kneeling for a minute for BLM I would have been uncomfortable but still fine with it overall. When you get an entire 2-3 minutes of monologue, MLK Jr quotes, and silence and then continue to kneel through the anthem? That's just disgusting.
MLB rejected commemorative 9/11 caps last year for the New York Mets. They approved writing "BLM" on the mound for opening day.
Yankees and Nats stood for the anthem but knelt in silence prior to it. Giants and Dodgers continued kneeling through the anthem.
Same here. Turned it off as soon as I saw players continuing to kneel for the anthem AFTER their entire minute of MLK quotes from oppressed black MLB players and minute of silence for black lives.
My favorite part was all of the "oppressed" black MLB players who make more in one year than I will in fifty reciting MLK Jr quotes and talking about how oppressed they are on the big board.
