Here we are on July 21st almost exactly where we started. My favorite activity is asking friends or coworkers if they remember the original goal of locking down. Most either say to wait for a vaccine or that they don't remember. I then remind them that this all started as a way to keep from overwhelming the health system, and then am usually met with "well we all knew that wasn't the real goal."

My dad can tell me I did a shit job changing the brake pads on my car while still supporting me overall. My boss can tell me I had a shit interaction with a customer while still supporting me.

Honest criticism does not mean that we do not support the President. I thought his press conference could have been stronger. I hope that he really is playing "4D chess" like some people are saying and isn't feeling the pressure to push masks and social distancing for other reasons.

I'm someone who went to at least 40 games last year, probably spent over $5,000 cumulatively on beer, food, and merch, and would spend 3+ hours (pre-game, game, post-game) in front of the TV and participating in baseball discussions year round on Reddit.

I wish I could say it was because of the kneeling, but I watched my team play yesterday and just was not interested one bit.
