In my town, BLM planned peaceful protests. They delivered some bricks into key areas around town. Other folks and I took the bricks.
The BLM protesters blocked entrances to businesses, so people couldn't get in.
The following week, BLM planned more protests. The bricks were again delivered and taken. This time, armed citizens stood in front of businesses and on sidewalks to make sure the BLM protesters couldn't block business entry again.
That was the last BLM peaceful protest in this town.
That's not a peaceful protest. Taking over a space like that isn't peaceful. No need to riot or threaten - even though they are threatening. Just destroying the use of a place is not peaceful.
Even if the story CNN were reporting is true, which it wasn't, reporting with a goal to favor one party over the other, one candidate over the other, is wrong.
