Seriously, Erdogan just did this in Turkey a couple of years ago. A coup was stopped over a weekend. And no military government was ever introduced. It was basically a bleep in the news. Life is as it was before. I'm not praising Erdogan or his politics, but what he did to stop a coup using swift and decisive action, probably stopping a civil war in the process is something to admire.
