I like the alt news better than the mainstream (even when i don't find myself agreeing) to hear a different view or even "a conspiracy being thought up" beats seeing the same 3 subjects repeat on mainstream media over and over. What in the world is CNN going to do without Trump to talk about, as an example.
The things I look at favor free speech and are for adults. Only someone with a fully developed brain can see multiple sides and not be weak enough to take on their surroundings. You have to be beyond the phase where you value being part of the group over having your own identity (believe they say some people don't reach that until about age 25 years of brain aging).
Poal.co has a lot of alt discussion (they also broke off from reddit like voat.co though voat closed recently) they do allow "forbidden" words that could make you uncomfortable but i look past that because knowledge gain > messenger style
Bitchute.com is a place that can save you time because other people look at things and put together shortened videos - ex. i couldn't tell you david knights website or lou dobbs but they end up there - again redicetv posts there and they are the outcasted of the outcasts (they have had bank accounts closed and payment processors dump them and been accused of being supremacists)
Gab.com i think is iffy now since they took away the ability to view comments on their homepage posts - that was the only way i could "surf" them without an account.
Parler i think is a honeypot because it requests so much personal information. The only time I've seen posts linked from there, they are good posts but they are so difficult to find anything without some version of a public search.
If these traditional alt sites go down (knowing you all are focused on trump but see you as a good alt info aggregate) I think there is promise in some of the more decentralized/private systems being built - things like pleroma, aether, and odysee. Those will be the next bastion - perhaps.
I've always wondered why they don't envision someone charismatic enough in the ranks of invitees to actually win loyalty to the point that their influence overshadows the ones who invited (hence losing their power).
It's like having a romantic 3 some then being surprised when those other 2 run off without you. People are always shocked when it happens. They imagined themselves always holding the same role of decision maker until "it takes them by surprise".
This especially seems possible to me with groups that have a non-english native language where it's completely logical for them to congregate and speak their own way while a native english speaker is not likely to know the conversation.
There are 2 types of immigrants to me - those that want to live in a land and adapt to its culture and the other version does not want to adapt, they want to overtake.
You can see this played out over EU immigrants, lately - many talking about how they will outbreed their hosts and take over eventually without even trying.
Since the "American Dream" is increasingly hard to attain for these generations it seems our most interested immigrants are hoping for re-producing their culture here since the deck is stacked against them economically.
Imagine this, I've never had a job that offered a pension. Never. My retirement plan has always been to just work a less stressful job. Earlier generations were better taken care of by their employers.
After all, the people who invite immigrants NEVER give up their job as CEO, Congressman, HR Staff, Project Manger, or even President for the immigrant (yes I know the officials are elected). They always expect them to be beneath the higher classes and some generations just won't let higher positions go (see people who refuse to retire because they enjoy positions of power while others give up their best years waiting for a glass ceiling to break). When someone gives up their job for immigrants, then maybe I'll believe their sympathy is true and not exploitative.
I do believe that all races and cultures deserve some place to call "home" and we shouldn't all be forced to accept each other at all times. I can't say how that happens (some say segregation but that scares me because it's easy to create 'us vs them' when people are distant) but where I have only seen "diversity" make an impact is when people have "different views ON THE SUBJECT" not different skin colors or sexual preferences.
Examples:
Group 1 (company)
black woman says - I like cheese
white woman says - I like cheese
asian man says - I like cheese
white man 1 says - I like cheese
white man 2 says - I like cheese
^ That's not diversity (They'll eat cheese at the company Thanksgiving party.)
Group 2 (company)
black woman says - I like cheese
white woman says - I only like cheese that doesn't smell bad
asian man says - I like cheese when it melts on a sandwich, not so much cold
white man 1 says - I like fancy cheese with wines
white man 2 says - I like cheese
^ That's diversity (They'll eat cheese several ways at the company Thanksgiving party.)
That means diversity based on physical characteristics is not the right track to follow.
(Compare to leftist version of diversity where all must share view but different looks/ orientation to a practical notion that diversity means DIFFERENCES INSIDE not DIFFERENCES OUTSIDE.)
In these times it's considered racist to say white people deserve their own lands but it makes sense to me if I genuinely do look at everyone as equal. Everyone needs to feel a homeland tie or they don't have a culture.
I do wonder if they aren't creating a security issue. I mean... can't our "foreign" enemies read this from the outside and plan an attack once to get the most "bodies in one room"?
What if someone were to send a nuke there - then they would take out all those military AND the incoming leaders. Doesn't that seem like a lot of loss just out of fear of citizen rebellion? (leaving yourself open to large scale attack).
What the fuck do I know though. We only saw 9/11 attack happen once in a place where they expected large loss of life (and got it). What makes this event less special? Certainly would cause some chaos in America if all those people poofed out of the system because a foreign force noticed we left ourselves vulnerable. Somehow this may be related to putting all your eggs in one basket.
I'm thinking that only dumb people walk into a crowd of miltary people with weaponry so, those that show up will likely be fearless for a reason (what that reason is - is your guess).
This is based on what has been going on in Portland regularly. They don't fear anything, the next group won't either OR no one will show up and the US wins with a show of agression against all parties because they frightened each group into inaction.
That latter seems most likely because it's dumb to attack when the enemy is ready, no? I don't want to get all Sun Tzu but yeah.
Whew I can't stomache more than 15 seconds of his smug face. He really annoys me from a distance and I don't believe any of his squinty eyed words.
I know I won't be watching it. I think the cheating makes him especially an unappealing politician.
I'm going to have to hear about his policies from other sources, for sure because looking at him on camera with that "halo" effect they put over him just screams cheater cheater punkin' eater.
Here are two from bitchute.
One is the long version of that video with the yellow socked woman.
https://www.bitchute.com/video/4wc0u2hzaPpk/
The next woman is definitely confirmed to have reported it and they claim it's stress related.
Link of her convulsions (she was the one in the hospital bed convulsing earlier in a video). This time she walks and talks more.
https://www.bitchute.com/video/BjslaRiPUHeX/
Link of article talking about how they responded and told her it was likely stress.
Here it is on Bitchute (instead of YT). https://www.bitchute.com/video/vRdNkqcsz1Q/ Obviously the comments are wilder than on YT but that's expected in free(er) speech.
Ycombinator has this article on it. It links to a twitter article - stating reasons. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=25691912
Your post seems like it's joking but...
I did that mos. ago (cut all the white layers out of a disposable mask) and have even got compliments on my mask. I'm never questioned about it either though I keep an extra, in case. I've literally worn the same mask (to keep China from cashing in on my misfortune) since July (into stores). I spritz it with Lysol then rinse and let it dry occassionally. It's the mask the post office gave me when they mandated masks out of nowhere and gave one out for free.
If anyone were to question you, the colored layer is actually the waterproof layer. I can breath much easier in the 1 ply mask and suggest others do it that HAVE to eat. But don't worry. I've already started an indoor garden so eventually I'll just grow my food since they won't back down on these masks. I refuse to make an Amazon account and support them JUST because they force me to use masks in the grocery store. In time, I'll remove them from my life since they can't be reasonable (grocery stores).
Here is a picture of my mask as proof. https://imgur.com/a/TO2BvTj
If you look at the edges you can see the cuts. I made my cuts with kitchen scissors, sewing scissors would probably work better because they would be delicate and sharper. The only difficult parts to cut are the pleats. Just pull them and push the layers outward to get those chopped.
I'm honestly shocked more people aren't doing this. The best part is that they blend from a distance with all the other disposable masks due to the ear loops and the color, and the pleats. At a glance I'm certain people don't notice much because NO one gives me a stink eye. I'm just another masked blurb that they've been conditioned to not expect to smile or have human interaction with. That's society now - faces aren't important.
I did try an experiment to put something stiff on the nose - tried a qtip in various sizes and could get the mask to sit farther off the face offering more air inside it but still have to find a good adhesion method. I think there is some promise in something stiff in masks that would hold them off your face more - for those of us that know they aren't stopping a virus anyway.
If you have taught them to value opinions of their elders, take them to any eastern european church (orthodox - greek, romanian, serbian, russian etc.) and during the dinners after church, immigrants will tell their stories of the old country and the reasons they journeyed to America. Orthodox churches regularly share congregations and have dances and parties together even when their homelands differ. You will see all types of history there and one combined story - things were bad.
Children should be taught WHY people have tried to make it to this country, then they will understand the grass isn't greener on the other side.
Anyone with first generation immigrants in their childhood get a history lesson regularly from elders.
