When war broke out people didn't have any arms. Police did. Military did.
Luckily many or majority of police stations were on on people's side and that was good enough for a start. The rest was smuggled and taken as spoils of war. Infact, I'd say that majority was smuggled and imported.
And when war was over, everyone had to return any illegal firearm that was left.

The way he did it.... giving the signals days before he will do the right thing and then we waited for trump to be in the middle of the speech and released a prepared statement.
That is so wrong.
That is so, so wrong and treacherous on so many levels it gotta hurt.
If he only signaled from the beginning that he will do this way it would still be treachery, but it wouldn't hurt so much, at least he would have some consistency and human decency.
The last time I was listening to this guy he was telling everyone about sting operation including balots with a secret watermark that can actually be tracked in real-time with satellites.
