Buffett acts like a capitalist, but in truth it seems that he relies heavily on government regulations that limit and lock out competition and alternatives. One example is the keystone pipeline, almost immediately shut down by Biden. Meaning, that from here on, oil will be transported via Buffett's trains.
Also, BLM race riots seem to be very selective, happening only in election years where Democrat politicians have to benefit, and only in Democrat districts.
Maybe the least effective at policy, but likely the most effective at grifting.
Ironically, the left has screwed up the schools so much, and made gender relations so miserable, that kids going through normal puberty are in a living hell.
The ironic thing is that once the social programs go bankrupt, that will likely force the capitalist agenda, because the simple fact is that no matter how tinker with socialism, no matter how violently you force it, it never works. Socialism doesn't and can't create the wealth that we all enjoy, only capitalism can do that.
Once those dummies learn that hard way that they have no wealth, other than what they were able to leech off of a successful capitalist system, then it's game over.
We already have. Even though most people have Windows on their PC's, in the datacenter server market Linux has been kicking their ass into the dirt for over a decade. The Android cell phone kernel is also based on Linux, and that kicked their ass in the phone and device market. OpenSource eats up all their new potential revenue streams on the edges.
I suspect Microsoft is going to end up like US Steel. They will probably stick around because of sheer momentum and size, but aren't going to be able to really compete well in any new market.
Don't get me wring, I would love to see the day that company goes bankrupt.
Because MS Windows sucks so bad, then when the big virus hits, we're all going to have to go back to primitive pre-tech survival, and Billy just wants to be ahead of the curve. :)
Yes, ipfs is designed as a universal file access protocol, but has no built in encryption capabilities. The people who built it were more thinking youtube, or bittorrent than privacy or secure communication. If you want to share private data, or access your private data from multiple places, you need to put the encryption layer on top of it.
MS Windows is already an Orwellian nightmare.
The socialist shit holes in the city will become war zones and eventually take care of themselves. Just don't be anywhere near it when it hits the fan.
I would infinitely prefer a Candice Owens presidency over any white male in the Democratic party.
Just be sure to encrypt your ipfs data, for stuff you want stored, but not shared. There are also useful tools like "steghide" which will encrypt your data and hide it in something like the static of a regular picture file, or "gpg" for just regular encryption, lots of other ones too. There are also useful services, like ipfs pinning services that will pin your files for a small fee if you need something to keep them pinned in case your servers go offline.
Gee who would have guessed? I think it would be more accurate to call it a homicidal assassination of a peaceful protester.
People would do themselves a favor to get a VPN service, and then do some searches on the phrase "popcorn time"
What we should really be looking at is why are medical costs in Singapore 10% of what they are in the USA. I'll tell you why, because of regulatory abuse. Rather than use regulations to protect people, the government is using them to help medical providers lock out competition and drive up profit margins. It would be easy for all of us to afford good health care if they would just get off our back.
After all, what part of free market capitalism would forbid me from creating a medical facility, without a CON? (certificate of need, which basically you can only get via approval of all the competitors in the region). Why can't medical licenses cross state lines, like our drivers licenses? Why do medicines widely used everywhere else in the world require a billion dollar FDA approval process in the USA? Why is it illegal to import generics into the USA commercially, even ones made by US companies and sold overseas? Why do you need to have a 7 year medical degree to do things in the US, that are done by dental assistants and nurse practitioners every where else on the planet? The list goes on and on and on.
Actually, shes the most effective at selling out to the establishment dems to not get anything done and fall in line with the establishment while pretending not to be a sellout.
It seems like a leftist mentality. Don't want to jump off the bridge by themselves, but if we all hold hands and do it together, then it will be ok.
If we ever kick out the left wing house again, the first order of business should be to break off all the red counties who suffer under blue states. In fact, make them into hundreds of solid red states. Stop playing soft ball with the democrats, take back the congress and the senate forever.
Notice how it's baseball, NFL, Hollywood, sodapop, facebook, always the superficial things that we are probably better off limiting, or without.
The problem isn't the ones who get jobs, but the ones who suck up welfare and entitlements.
He provided evidence of blackmail, now they need to provide evidence of wrongdoing, or to fuck off.
No to mention, once you have a fake election, the executive is illegitimate, and has no authority to collect taxes.
If they don't, we'll know they are full of shit.
If they ever get power again, they need to play hard ball. They need to take the top 100 red counties, and make them into states. They need to impeach the fake president, the fake vice president, some people on the supreme court, and Schemer and Romney, and Pelosi.
The fundamental problem is that too many people fail to realize that law exists above the state, not because of it. To the extent that the state follows natural law, it is legit and wisdom would dictate respect, but to the extent that the state doesn't follow natural law, it needs to be tossed in the trash like the garbage it is. So many people worry about the consequences of not following the states laws and edicts, but in truth the real disaster comes when we don't follow the natural law. Those are the consequences we need to worry about.
The ugly truth is that copyright and patent (and the DMCA) don't work. In theory they were supposed to a property right that protects creators and incentives creation. In practice they act nothing like property, protect monopolies/cartels, and incentive lawyers. I think that our biggest mistake is that that we just assumed they were like a property right, because that's what we were always told as school kids, but the truth is that just because somebody calls something a free market or a property right, doesn't mean that it is.
There are some free online books out there like "Against Intellectual Monopoly" and "Against Intellectual Property" that make the pragmatic and philosophical cases that copyright and patent are not free market, not legitimate property rights, and actually harm freedom and property rights. People would do themselves a favor to read them.
