There are populists on both the right and the left. The problem is the ones on the left still believe their benevolent democrats in Washington represent them and will fight Wall Street. They're the same picture
Populist lefties were brainwashed by the media for four years, and didn't realize that Trump actually represented the little guy and opposed the establishment.

Basically, hedge fund investors bet on stocks to lose so they can buy the stocks low and make money. They bet on Gamestop stock to lose, then autists from a trading subreddit caught on, purchased a bunch of shares, and the stock skyrocketed. The hedge fund investors have to come up with the difference, and now they've lost billions. They were pissed that the peasants were playing their game, so they had trading companies pull the plug temporarily so they could "recalibrate."
I'm guessing they paid shills to make racist posts and comments in the forum to get it banned....similar to what they did with us.
That's the problem. The elites on Wall Street are just like the elites in Washington. They have this sense of entitlement, and when they start losing, they start rigging the game in their favor.
What if the powers that be sent some paid shills into the subreddit to create some racist posts and comments in order to get them banned? Whoa....what if they did the same thing to r/thedonald?
Before they realize they share the same contempt for the entitled elitists that we have, they'll probably get bribed to pass legislation that restricts the peasants from ever doing something like this again.

You're not alone. I am struggling with this too. I have family members that refuse to see the truth. I believe they are blindly following evil people. At some point I may need to sever ties with them. Christ said he didn't come to bring peace but a sword to turn a man from his father, mother, etc. If people refuse to see what is really happening, then we must focus our energy on others that may be willing to open their eyes.
The leaders in my state are so incompetent we have homeless camps popping up on public school grounds and public youth sports parks. It’s insane.
