If this strain is actually in CO, it's much more likely to show up in Denver or Boulder first. I knew this was all BS when I read Elbert county. They had to go with Elbert County because of all the science denying republiscums there that refuse to wear masks. I work in a 24/7 environment where everyone shares workstations. Last January, we thought a cold went through our area - chorus of coughing for several weeks. That month, I thought I pulled a hamstring - constant charley horse in the back of my leg for weeks. Now I believe it was blood clots - a common symptom of COVID. I'm assuming we were all exposed to it in Dec/Jan. I was also traveling the state with my son's b-ball team. Nobody I knew became severely ill, let alone died. Oh, and btw, I regularly attend a church where the average age of the members is 65. We were still shaking hands at the time and didn't know what social distancing was. Notice the death rate didn't start rapidly increasing until the media started their fear-mongering a month or two later. I had COVID and didn't even realize it.
