I think they were simply trying to come up with the word "variant" or mutation and simply compared it to how the flu has a different variant every year.....
I can't imagine how someone could think that the flu and any variant of the coronavirus are the same thing..... They are not... That has never been disputed...

There's absolutely no fucking doubt it exists, but they inflated the danger fear and all numbers surrounding it to make it some worse than it really was, but it sure as fuck killed many people because my mother and wife are both nurses at the local hospital and both of them had to deal with this shit all last year. Even though they both knew the truth the entire time, that doesn't change the fact that in the early weeks and months they still said it felt like they were fighting an extremely strong invisible enemy that just kept killing patients left and right no matter what they were trying treatment wise.....

Unless that store is state or federally owned, then it's a private business and they can make any rules they want... The same way they can require you to wear a shirt and shoes....

Y'all live in some fucked up places.... the town I live in is right next to a decent sized state university where there are plenty of liberals and, still, maybe once out of this entire time will you get actually approached by someone in public about not wearing a mask, not counting like employees in a store asking you to put one on..... And even then most likely it's going to be a statement like "you should be wearing a mask" or something like that and not an actual confrontation.....
Around here people just know better than to get up in people's face like that..... You still get plenty of looks and you can tell people are cussing you out in their head, but yeah, most people don't have the balls to step up and say anything to anyone around here... And I'm not a big guy by any means, so there aren't any other mitigating factors... (EDIT -- That is, unless they can see my bulge and I didn't realize it....
