It's hard to find a good image board thats just for fun. I'm surprised after reddit abandon them they lasted this long but it appears they're finally shoving out their remaining user base.

Does anyone know a good image board thats just for fun? I looked at imgflip a little but it's run by teenagers so lot of stuff for people younger than me.

I had a family member that ran a small grocery store. It's hard to describe to people how badly theft affects stores. Stop loss programs are a major part of keeping a store running.

I was confused when I read that this guy invented email. I've spent over 20 years working with mail systems and I've only ever heard of the original created by Tomlinson in 71 but this guy is saying he invented it in 78.

Not sure what to think but just food for thought. Here's an article discussing it further.

Edit: it's my understanding that the mail system from 71 was before modern network protocols so his system only worked on a workstation. That seems to be the big claim is that this guy invented the system that mimics mail systems you see in inter company transport (inbox/outbox) between computers.

Edit2: I just realized that EDI already had the capabilities he describes back in the 60's. Sounds like he built on existing tech. I'd say add his name to the list of creators that evolved it into its modern day system.

Pakistan prime minister is one of the few people I've seen publicly state thate Osama was already dead. She was assassinated not to long after she made the comment. I'm having a hard time finding the original but here's a copy from Youtube.

Anarchy as a concept is pretty rad

Anarchy is an interesting concept I was into many years ago. If you're interested in seeing what an anarchist society looks like check out the Spanish Revolution of 1936. I believe it's one of the only anarchist societies to exist and it didn't last very long.

If you want an example of how these lunatics get in power look up a man named John Walker Flynt (he pretends to be a woman named Briana Wu). John comes from an extremely wealthy family and made an attempt to run for politics and his families money/connections almost made him legit. I say almost because he didn't win and I don't think many people took him seriously.

I did a quick google search on his history and didn't see much but I'm pretty sure he's your typical Dem pervert that "transitioned" to try and look more normal.

Sigh.... The bike in the corner of the photo on the left. It looks like a model from state bicycle co. I fear we may own the same bike...

Im confused by the building a new internet statement. Is gab an autonomous system with an id now? Are they building their own root dns server? Are they a clec? I spent over 10 years working in NOCS for ISPs and I think this statement os a little overblown. It just sounds like they built their own data center.

The issue is the bait and switch. Given how well ebola was handled a few years ago if were told "2 weeks to flatten the curve" people think thats ok to avoid all these deaths. Once that part is over they are bought in. "We survived 2 weeks maybe just a little more". "Were just about there". So long as te extra 600 shows up everyone ia fine. Its not untol the harship actually hits home that most people will be forced to admit how awful this is.

The only item I've seen so far is the BLM website has removed the communist wording about getting rid of the nuclear family. It sucks because I was pointing people to the website if they said they agreed with BLM. Didn't even have to argue, just show them the language that they use.

Just want to add this one. Yesterday a Trump parade of cars drove from Lima, OH and into the surrounding rural areas. I was out with my family getting ice cream when I saw a good sized group of vehicles (I'd guess up to 100 vehicles) came driving through our tiny town honking. They made a few passes then took off. There was a lot of good energy from locals that were watching.

I hate to say it but it worked a little bit. I was at the playground and there was Trump 2020 written in chalk on the ground. Some people showed up and a lady walked around, found a piece of chalk, and wrote "Hates Vets" underneath one of the Trump 2020 drawings.

She looked like your typical SJW, fat, angry, and colored hair, but it's surprising in our rural area to see that.

It's not Gallagher. I saw him live a few years back and he's aged a lot. His comedy is a lot harder too. He was touring with some old guys who were popular in the 70's/80's and they were so far from PC I expect they'd whip these guys.

Your comment reminded me that P. Diddy used to do "Vote Or Die" campaigns. They really lay it on thick while screaming we'll keep burning everything down if you don't vote for us!

Maineville is between Cincinatti and Dayton. For those of you not from Ohio keep in mind that Dayton literally has placed barricades around their ghetto to stop crime from spilling out into the good areas. I used to do installs for ISP's years ago and have heard horror stories about doing installs in this part of Dayton.

Thankfully the rest of Ohio is not like this. I live in a rural area and this is not the norm.

My city uses them. But, they apparently don't have the infrastructure to store them for a long time (why, I don't know).

I work in IT and have had the misfortune of dealing with video storage. Think of it like this. A decent quality video (lets say 1080) could easily be up to 50GB per shift. Times that by 3 shifts a day and $x number of cops and you are generating terabytes of video footage a day easily. Storing that long term requires high speed switched networks, servers/sans/nas, and the people to manage them. That would easily cost 100's of thousands of dollars a year to run for a single precinct.

In my description above I didn't even mention the time it takes to transfer that to the backup system. Even on a 10GB switched network each employee is sitting down at the end of their shift and spending 30min connecting the camera, logging in, copying files to the backup, and prepping it for the next days use. Imagine the total loss of time if each cop spends 30min every day all year round backing up their video.

I recently went through one of the new rdp ransomwares. Even if you have proper backups every pc and server has to be formatted. Moat schools ive seen are seriously understaffed. It wont get done by the one admin you know they have.

Remember to change your rdp port. Use gpo to block common accounts including local admin from rdp. Use security grouos to retrict ad users via rdp. All local admin password must be unique.

I can't speak for the polls but there is a serious amount of Trump swag around rural Ohio. I'm talking 8+ ft wide signs and banners along with the small yard signs and every day I see more. It's much different than 2016, the amount of energy behind Trump this year is huge and it's just getting started in Ohio.

Critical Race Theory is the garbage they teach in colleges that becomes Social Justice. It's linked to a handful of ideologies but it's the core concept that SJW's all come from.

I believe another word that goes along well with critical theory is Inter-sectionalism. Which is how they link all these different groups together.

I found out while buying a van a few years back that the van market has been taken over by SUVs. Deals on new or used vans suck and thanks to the cash for clunkers a lot of older cheap ones arent on the market anymore. It would be great if vans became popular and we had a good used market again. Theyre good for hauling kids or work material.

A lot of them have resting bitch face which is most likely a side effect of fetal alcohol syndrome. FAS would explain a lot about the kids and the parents who raised them.

Its because so many nurses are single moms who got a free education because they got knocked up. The entitlement that comes from people who fail upwards is what youre seeing on display.

I went to a community college that had a large nursing class. Over 75% of the girls i met in nursing were single moms getting a free ride and thats how they acted
