I had this conversation last night with a friend of mine about Trump pulling some trigger and dropping this moab of an executive order or insurrection act. I'm looking at the calendar, and I'm looking at the cards stacking up against him, and I'm just wondering how this is going to happen. The courts could act. I get that. I'm hoping for that. How is this executive order going to stop Congress from opening these democrat elector votes, counting them up and announcing Biden the winner? I'd just like to understand how you all expect that to play out?

Do you think Congress debates and decides not to count them? Do you think new court cases will be filed? Does the court challenge continue on after the electoral votes are counted and Biden is announced winner? Is he going to start arresting people like congressmen and senators? Given the time frame left, short of the courts, I don't understand the mechanics of it. Someone explain how they realistically think this is going to play out.

We don't know what the hack is though. The hack could be almost anything within the app. It might not have anything to do with the networked nature.

Very unlikely. All that info came from security analysis and tools. Solarwinds wouldn't be used like that.

This is really not very special information, and the security implication is exaggerated. A. Yes, Orion is one of the most popular network management software, and almost every corporation uses it to some extent. It does have access, but it's hardly the keys to the kingdom. Generally every PC has the same connectivity. B. Netflow traffic analyzer is definitely a powerful tool which could potentially be used for ill purpose. However, it's optional, expensive, and not nearly as popular. Larger corporations are likely to use other tools. It's also a very low level tool to be used as implicated. It likely would require a lot of detailed inside knowledge. The implication is likely very exaggerated. C. Network Performance Monitor - this is really the guts of the Orion product. It polls all the network/server devices, and then bubbles up aggregate statistics to highlight performance issues across the network. From there, analysts can drill down to detailed statistics. Again, the security implication is exaggerated. It requires a lot of detailed targeted inside information to even make sense of what is reported. It's not clear to me how that could even be used for a security related issue.

Bottom line, Solarwinds is a popular distributed application embedded into the networks of most corporations. If that application, like almost any other, were compromised by a hack, it could be a serious security threat. However, I would be surprised if the networking nature of Solarwinds made it a uniquely grave threat. More likely, it's just a popular application that got hacked, and the interesting part of the hack may turn out to be the internal corporate corruption that was involved in the hack.

Oh, come on! Someone actually look at a calendar. If you folks think the DoJ is going to do any, you're out of your mind. They didn't even arrest the low level BLM libtard fucks that blocked the Republican poll watchers. You think Bill Barr is going to do shit before Christmas? Oh please! If he was going to do something, why didn't he arrest Joe Biden and Hunter for bribery, corruption, and treason. Hell they could have been in jail ever since the laptop got dropped into the FBI's lap.

Cornyn. What a surprise. What an embarrassment for Ted Cruz to have to serve with this fucker. What an embarrassment to Texas.

We're going to arrest somebody now? Really? Why don't they arrest Joe Biden and his son for bribery, corruption, and treason? He can't very well attend the inauguration from his jail cell. Hell, they haven't even arrested these little low level BLM libtard shits for shutting out the Republican poll watchers. You people think the FBI is going to do anything about Joe Biden? Really?

They're going to investigate someone? They going to arrest someone? They're going to prosecute someone? Really? Hell why didn't they arrest Joe Biden and his son for bribery and corruption? He couldn't very well go to the inauguration from his jail cell. They didn't even arrest the little low level BLM libtard shits that shut out the Republican poll watchers. Special prosecutor my ass!

Holding out hope for what? Even if Barr arrested Biden and Harris, that wouldn’t change the course of the MSM and swamp proceeding with the election in the electoral college.

Trump is the one that made promises to us that he would hire the best people and drain the swamp. At this point we should be honest with ourselves about who we expected to get that job done and who failed to deliver on their promises.

You can’t have both. If Biden is inaugurated, nothing will come of Hunter, and that’s because it’s never been about Hunter. Joe Biden and his puppeteers are the center of the Biden family scandal. If he becomes president, that will be the end of the discussion. The only remedy will be impeachment, and that won’t ever happen. The only solution to the Biden crime organization is to keep them out of power.

What a bunch of saps. Where have you all been after Democratic victories for the last 50-60 years? Oh the election is over and they've forgotten us! What a sap!

I'm just curious though if you buy from the checkout counter at the grocery. I don't want to buy groceries online. That's just me.

You never deal with "small businesses." You deal with ignorant minimum wage clerks. Actually, the funny thing is that every time someone has complained to me about not wearing a mask, either they said that with a straight face with their diaper hanging half off of it, or half the other clerks in the store had theirs hanging half off, including fricking police officers. That of course made no impact to the righteousness with which they attacked me!

How's that working out for you in grocery stores in particular? I've been rudely run out of like convenience stores, small businesses, restaurants, etc. Don't collect $200, don't pass go, get out, or I'm calling the police. I'd like to say fine, I just won't do business here, but if I spend 30 minutes filling my grocery cart and get up to the checkout counter, I'm going to want to eat next week. Are you getting turned away in grocery stores?

Big nothing burger story. Big assertions, but all they actually say is that they made an image copy of the PCs. They collected data. They don't say anything about how the data supports their assertions.

and let's not forget about that big dip in flu deaths, while "Covid" spiked. Now we'll stop counting them as "Covid" deaths, and we'll have to go back labelling them as flu deaths. Flu deaths will suddenly spike, therefore we need to keep wearing the masks.

There were a lot of people, a lot of Trump fans just like me, that reacted exactly the same way I did to Trump's tweet. A lot of Trump's supporters are really fed up with Trump's inaction on the DOJ's failures, and rightly we should be. Trump had two major campaign promises. Hire the best people and drain the swamp. As we hang as a nation by a few tiny threads of court cases, that common frustration is perfectly reasonable and fit for conversation on this web site.

We don't have to get lost in despair, but the election is over. The election is over, even if the naming of the winner isn't. We're past the politics of that. Now let's just be honest with each other about the GOP, Trump, and our government at all levels.

Did you read the defendant briefs? One of their main arguments they made was that if you allow Texas to have standing, any illegality in state federal elections could flood SCOTUS with suits from other states. Texas' only response was that if SCOTUS overrides a federal election for state illegality, states would follow their own laws, thus eliminating the flood of cases. I didn't think that was going to be a winning argument, and it wasn't.

That's a very good point. Even after Trump was initially the nation leader of lockdowns, he's had a huge amount of power as president to put an end to these lockdowns and mask ordinances. He did nothing, except continue to promote the mask ordinances for example. He didn't stop the FDA from effectively banning hydroxychloriquine. He didn't even fire Fauci, Birx or Redfield.
