Like Texas GOP politicians usually do, Abbott got lots of media fan fare yesterday for superficially freeing the state from all the damage Abbott himself did to us. It's not over though folks. It's not going to be over until we rid ourselves of the unconstitutional emergency powers act of 1975.
Here is a legal paper on this unconstitutional law written by Mikael Garcia of the Texas Freedom Caucus, https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pujg-Vqz3-vwQHqqyi1RKmu2xQCUnfJn/view
I hope every one reads this paper to learn about the real problem in Texas. I'll list below a handful of bills that will address this mess. I hope everyone contacts their representatives to support these bills as a start. We're going to need to do a lot more in that we'll likely need a 2/3 majority to get those bills passed, which of course is not likely to happen. This isn't fixed and likely won't get fixed this session but at least we need to start by understanding the problem and educating others.
I woke up to reports of rolling power outages in Texas. It's turning out now that these are permanent power outages in near record cold temps. Centerpoint Energy was on TV admitting that the problem is that many power generation plants are off line. So, they're reporting rolling outages. That's not true. They're reporting that the demand is high. I don't believe that in a state where natural gas supplies all the heating and the grid is designed for massive load from electric powered air conditioning in the summer. The Centerpoint rep admitted it. It's not the demand. Texas is facing a critical problem with power generation. I noticed they didn't mention which power plants have gone offline! They're only admitting a generic power production problem. I wonder why they're surprisingly uncurious about which power plants have gone offline and why? Guess what has happened to Texas power generation while no one was watching? In a state with the highest production of natural gas and plentiful coal, what power generation source do you think might have problems in the cold temps, snow, and ice of winter? Guess which state leads the nation in wind powered electric generation? Would you have guessed Texas? Texas is now dependent on wind power for a whopping 23% of it's power generation. Do you think that maybe the story they're not telling us yet is that all those power generation plants that have gone off line are actually all wind power plants?
"Precisely because Ohio holds this view about the meaning of the Electors Clause, it cannot support Texas’s plea for relief. Texas seeks a “remand to the State legislatures to allocate electors in a manner consistent with the Constitution.” Br. in Support of Motion for Leave to File 16. Such an order would violate, not honor, the Electors Clause. Federal courts, just like state courts, lack authority to change the legislatively chosen method for appointing presidential electors. And so federal courts, just like state courts, lack authority to order legislatures to appoint electors without regard to the results of an already-completed election."
Everyone should read this. When I read the Texas brief, that remedy of sending it back to the state legislatures struck me as being wrong. I don't want weak GOP state legislatures bowing to their corrupt executive and judicial branches and just passing a resolution to pick the Democrat electors, based upon the fraudulent election or for any other reason. No reason would ever be legitimate after a fraudulent election. This argument by Ohio makes an interesting constitutional argument against Texas' proposed remedy.
If there is such widespread fraud across the whole country, why am I hearing nothing about all of the House and Senate elections? Why have we heard nothing about those election results being challenged? Are we to be satisfied with a bare majority in the Senate and only a few pickups in the House when in TRUTH, Trump had one of the most historic landslides in history? Do any of you accept the validity of any election in this country federal or local? Are we going to accept the second term of Trump marred by Democratic control of the House and RINOs voting with the Democrats in the Senate on every important issue?
Joe Biden, "President of the Basement" - Louie Gohmert. They're killing it on Newsmax tonight.
Newsmax is reporting that Pirro's show is cancelled because tonight's show was going to cover election fraud.
Edited: Suspended, not cancelled.
It's clear to me that politicians and the media aren't going to stop with the panic porn or the mask dictates. I believe they have people so wound up about masks, the only thing that's going to put a stop to it is mass civil disobedience. With mass civil disobedience, peer pressure would start to shift against the mask wearers, and in particular, the businesses. The media would ultimately have to cover the civil disobedience. Politicians would eventually have to respond to the mass revolt, and most importantly, the businesses caught in the middle would cave like a house of cards.
So here's my idea. I want to target grocery stores. Everyone goes to the grocery stores. I want to create a secure web page that can't be censored or taken down. On the web page, I want to provide specific details to easily print business cards advocating the civil disobedience along with other anti-mask related material and organized event notifications. I want to print out 1000 business cards (referencing the web page), go to my local grocery stores and start handing them out, without a mask. I'd ask each person to show me your smile and take off your mask. I'd also ask that they get involved to print out their own 1000 cards and do the same thing I'm doing. The main motto would be join me. They can't stop us all. Hand bills are the oldest form of social media.
I'm serious about doing it, but I have no idea how to create a web page to host the resources, especially not one that can't be censored or shut down. Advice? Opinions?
