I honestly don't understand how Biden has a reputation as a nice guy. The way he looks at the audience in the eye and spews one lie after another gives me the creeps.
I hated how Wallace pretended to be impartial while promulgating Charlottesville hoax and not even calling out Joe Biden's lies about Hunter Biden and remarks about military. It's on the video for crying out loud.
Look, you are right on principle. However, politics is not about being right on some abstract principle, it is/should be about delivering results for the people.
Look at where the country is in terms of political polarization and racial tension. We have generations of indoctrinated people thanks to the left's dominance in education and academia. Right or wrong, millions upon millions of people look at the disparity between the white and black Americans and see systemic racism. This is not something any one man, even the President, can make go away simply by winning an argument. If that were the case, Affirmative Action would have been discarded 30 years ago when data showed that 15+ years of this type of policies failed to deliver meaningful results for the Blacks.
The Democrats are already alleging that installing another constitutionalist judge on the supreme court will set back civil liberties decades. What do you think they mean by this? I think I know: They're afraid that Trump will go after Affirmative Action type policies. Ones that Thomas Sowell often argues do nothing for poor blacks and only help already well-established blacks. I also believe that's where President Trump's endgame is.
However, in order to get there, he needs to change people's minds which take time. Remember he is banning Critical Race Theory, a very important step for the future of the country, yet millions of indoctrinated people look at this action as an overtly racist move. The bottom line is that truly changing the political discourse in the country will take at least 10 more years and, in order to do that, Trump not only needs to win, his successor needs to continue his agenda. I see the 500 billion pledge to Black Americans as a way to really make them come around to Trump's long term agenda by materially impacting their lives.
First of all, the worth of the plan is estimated at 500 billion dollars. That doesn't mean it's 500 billion dollars out of federal budget. Most likely it is a small fraction of that amount in terms of actual budget.
Trump has proven himself to be a consistent, patient man, and he keeps his promises. He will get there. Have faith in him.
He will also pick Barbara Lagoa for the SCOTUS.
Yes. I like Robert Barnes's take on President Trump.
I don't know why Ann Coulter gives Trump so little credit. Anyone who follows the President knows that he tries really hard, even if he comes up short sometimes.
That may be true, but the important thing is to recognize that the Democrats have no leverage here at all. The worst they can do is seethe and scream Orange Man Bad - same thing they've been doing for 4 years now - and watch helplessly as the Senate appoints another supreme court justice to the bench before the election.
I reckon the President could even announce this publicly and put the ball squarely on Pelosi's court.
A lot of people in the service sector (mostly in the big cities) need them badly. This is Trump's chance to be magnanimous on an issue that's close to the heart for many big city elites. I think being moderate here will be the best move in the long run because of how insane the left has become lately.
It's an uphill battle, but Arizona's not gone yet. The remaining votes favor Trump heavily, but the election officials stopped counting. This is why Trump is angry.
