Brennan’s spokesperson is claiming Brennan grilled Durham on why DOJ and Barr are investigating routine actions and it seems political. To me this is Brennan lying and trying to lay the groundwork to cry it’s a political hit job when he’s indicted.
If I'm Brennan & I know I'm a target of a criminal investigation I would do everything in my power to make people think I'm not so that when my indictment is unsealed I can claim political persecution, since Durham is unlikely to publicly confirm or deny my claim.
