I disagree to some extent.

That is, if you take some of these people at their word. Both Guilliani and Powell have made grand claims about Dominion. Yet, Dominion presses on.

The point of a defamation suit is that you have to prove malice. In this case, even some simple evidence of vote switching, foreign interference, etc. would end Dominion’s suit (and put the evidence in an actual court of civil law, where it hasn’t been litigated). However, keep in mind if you’re Dominion and you actually did some of these things, a suit is dangerous territory.

If Dominion does ultimately file suit, expect it to be a bloodbath for one side or the other. Either Powell and co. show in court the evidence that they’ve claimed to have, or Dominion steamrolls over them and claims a grand conspiracy to defame them and undermine their business.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they intend to sue them jointly - Powell, Guilliani, Wood, and now Lindell. Maybe a few more (Mo Brooks, MGT, etc) if they think it’s worth it.

Not making any comment on the merits of such a case. But I can see how from their point of view a massive, encompassing defamation suit is what they’re aiming for from a PR perspective.

California has 32 military bases. New York has 5.

Retirees/SS benefits are not included in those numbers. Those are existing, legislated liabilities that are paid out to PEOPLE, not the states. So it doesn't matter where they live.

democrat-voting welfare recipients

You realize this is the case in red and blue states, right? And news flash - blue states have more people and as such would be more likely to receive MORE money for those programs than red states.

Overspending at the federal level isn't a red/blue issue. So sending funds back to states shouldn't be an issue either. Rick Scott had no problem getting tens of billions in hurricane aide from the government. That's a "red state bailout", right?

Ok but let's also be real here. There are plenty of "taker" states (across the south and mid-west) that take in far more federal tax dollars than they give back per capita.

If we're going to start redlining states for federal funds, maybe we just cap it at you can only get a certain % of what you give to the federal government, and make it a rule for all the states.

Q has never been credible.

Hundreds, if not thousands, of claims. Almost none of them have come to fruition. And the ones that do were often vague enough that it was coincidence/dumb luck.

“Trust Jeff Session.” “Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will be arrested and brought to Gitmo [insert date time here]” “John Brennan has been executed for treason.” “Trump has all of the fraud evidence and will drop the hammer on [date/time].”

Don’t even get me started on the even more ridiculous claims “Q” has made. It’s been a years-long /b/ shitpost spree. Anyone believing it needs mental health help. That’s it.

He’s also nervous as fuck for being on TV. He stumbles over every sentence in the interview.

This. They’re waiting McConnell out. If no vote by Tuesday night, she resigns then.

I doubt a vote will happen, but they don’t want to be down 3 Dem senators (her, and the new GA senators) should it happen.

You can literally see the NG with your eyes. You can’t see “mass arrests.” So, just like 99% of the other Q stupidity, I’ll not be holding my breath on them.

doobiedaddy 6 points ago +16 / -10

The arrests have already begun and will continue for several weeks.

This has been the Q-tard line for YEARS. Show the receipts or GTFO.

Literally every few months "the mass arrests are happening, Biden and Clintons have already been indicted" blah blah blah.

At this point believing in a fantasy that has been proven false time and time again means you need to see a therapist. It's not hopium - it's bullshit.

Ignoring the blight homeless people inflict on library users across America, the local library also provides office space to a newly formed organization serving the homeless, with which the library works as a partner, even engaging in “street outreach.” The library staffer leading this initiative is—predictably—a graduate of the local leftist college. Indoctrination works.

I'm sorry, but is this guy really complaining about addressing homelessness? Know the way to clean up your streets - homeless outreach and programs to get them off of it. And if in this community homelessness is a problem, and it's a conservative area, you can't blame it on liberal policies.

Sounds like he just doesn't want people at the library engaging with the homeless. Seems like a baseless complaint and is actually a detriment to your community. Notice how he's not criticizing the church (across all denominations) that do the same outreach and care.

To be fair on the driving front - Southern drivers are just too damn polite sometimes. Can't tell you the number of times I've sat at lights for ten seconds with no one moving and no one honking.

Northern (specifically northeastern) drivers and Southern drivers each have their pros and cons.

No there isn't.

It's over, regardless of whether or not people think it's right.

The states chose their electors. Those electors got certified by Congress. Biden is president-elect.

At noon on January 20th, power will transfer. If you believe what anyone else says on that, I have oceanfront property in Oklahoma to sell to you.

You know they can reject the pardon, right?

As acceptance is equivalent to acknowledgement of guilt.

You can’t impeach Pelosi. I swear these comment threads get filled with imbeciles.

Pelosi can be removed as speaker by essentially “spilling” the seat of Speaker, forcing a new leadership election (majority vote). If you want her out of Congress, she needs to be expelled with a 2/3 vote of the House (would never happen).

And also - keep in mind neither a Biden or Harris as president would be impeached so long as Democrats hold 34 seats in the Senate (2/3 + 1, assuming all seats are seated). I honestly can’t tell you the last time the Senate minority had fewer than 1/3 of the seats. It might not have ever happened after the Adams -> Jefferson administrations.

No. He's only talked about "next administration" or "peaceful transition" in his video last week. That's it.

Saying Biden administration is the most direct acknowledgement that it is over. He's conceding he won't be president on January 20.

0
doobiedaddy 0 points ago +1 / -1

It's not happening.

The entire military establishment just made it clear.

It's over.

1
doobiedaddy 1 point ago +1 / -0

I mean, Biden isn't president yet. So why would he?

He said he'd be the next president and is the president-elect.

2
doobiedaddy 2 points ago +2 / -0

First off, this is incredibly stupid from a business perspective. Turn off access to some of the most popular websites your users visit? Seems like a great way to lose business, even if you can be whitelisted.

Secondly - this is EXACTLY the same thing people are complaining about! If the view is that a company shouldn't be able to silence voices, why can an ISP block access to sites? Isn't that ALSO bad?

This is dumb and will most likely be reversed.

-1
doobiedaddy -1 points ago +5 / -6

That’s not how it works though.

Biden was declared president-elect via the constitutional process. Whether or not Trump is in the White House, claiming he is still POTUS, etc., on January 20th at noon Biden will be president. It is not up for debate anymore - that is the constitutional position at this point. Inauguration or not, on that day and hour the power transfers.

So, the video where he tells people to "go home" and that he "wants peace" was shot over a week ago, before there was any idea what was going to happen?

Or... by that logic, the video was pre-recorded because the plan was to have patriots storm the Capitol? Which then cost us votes in the House/Senate on EC objections?

What is it? A video recorded contemporaneously, or a pre-recorded video resulting from a retarded plan? Because the incident yesterday didn't help the EC vote certification, it hurt it.
