I don't know why you'd be surprised. This isn't a Democrat only issue. I think the aftermath of the 2020 election proved that beyond a shadow of a doubt. For the most part, the parties are just an illusion.

Hell, this doesn't even account for the fact that the dollar has lost over 10% of its value in the last year because of this insanity. In fact, it's now nearing 15%. That means every single American took a 10% pay cut and lost 10% of their net worth because of all this debt creation/dollar printing. This isn't a net positive for ANYONE.
Not to mention, our interest payment on the national debt will exceed 600 billion this year and more every year in the future. Gee, I wonder what happens when our interest payment is 25% of the revenue the government can generate? Or 50%? Only good things, I'm sure.
Toss on the fact that the petrodollar is nearing its inevitable end which means tightening our belts is more important than ever, and we've got ourselves a nice little horrific disaster on our hands. Gen Z has no idea how horrific the 2nd half of their lives will be.
I wouldn't count on them thinking differently. Marxists have no issue whatsoever with letting women fight. There were plenty of female fighters in the USSR. In fact, the first fighters the Germans met while approaching Stalingrad were a bunch of military women who were firing anti-aircraft guns at their tanks. It became a joke in the German army because apparently anti-aircraft guns don't make the best anti-tank weapons, and it was clear they didn't know what they were doing.

The mass shooting argument is asinine. Well over 100 million people were killed by their own government in the last century alone, and some estimates put it over 200 million. You'd need to have a mass shooting where 30 people are killed, every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for an ENTIRE CENTURY to match that number. Basically non-stop mass shootings.

But, corporations, partnerships, LLC's, Sub-chapter S etc will NOT be affected by this. In other words, this is yet another leftist policy that stifles small business, and helps the super-corps by stifling their competition. This really is a first in world history. A government is actively and relentlessly working against the best interests of its citizenry, and a significant portion of that citizenry is complicit. Why? Because the burden is not shared equally.
And THAT is precisely why the progressive income tax needs to go. I don't even want a flat tax. There should be a FLAT FEE. Take the government's expenditures, divide by the number of citizens 18 and older, and there's everyone's tax bill for the year. You want to see spending get cut dramatically overnight? That's how you do it.
Get rid of the welfare state, and make each American pay an equal portion of the burden. That's how you solve this issue. In other words, end the fed and repeal the 16th amendment. Everything else falls into place.
