I'm not from Cuckifornia, but in my state you do not need to register it. At this point it is an inheritance or gift. Registering only allows the state/feds to know you have it... so they can take it away.

I went to Wells Fargo, with him. Had the money counted out in a private office. The bank was very accomodating. There was a rent-a-guard in the lobby and I am 99% sure he knew what was being transacted. Honestly, he was my biggest concern. A $14/hr. college dropout type with what looked like gang tats.
We pre-agreed he would carry half out and I would carry the other and the three of us would meet at his truck/RV and swap.
I was strapped up times two. I didn't ask, but I'm sure he was too because he had an 8 hour drive home to Arkansas. Needless to say we had no problems. And if we did it would have looked like the bank scene from the movie 'Heat'
