there is more good people in the usa government than bad. but the corrupt people have crawled into the most powerful spots. so i think that once trump has been able to get the right people into the right spots, we may see the tide turn.

while this has some truth to it, i need to point some issues here, the hoards that are pouring into Europe from the middle east have had their country drone bombed for 20 years. when asking the question why dont they stay and fix their won country, well because its fucking raining bullets.
while south america has been wrecked by american and russian geo politics and proxy wars, they have nothing left but to make a hail mary attempt to get to a better nation. its either stay and die in a cartel war or die trying to cross the border.
as for the ones that are not in the cross hairs of the american war machine, (vietnam, malaysia, srilanka, to name a few), they are having a huge economic boom since the 90's. the economic growth is much faster than that of europe in its industrial age. and yes people are migrating from those countries aswell, in quite large numbers but they are still a tiny, tiny, tiny fraction of the total population of their home nations. most people are staying and making their countries better, and they are on the heels of the western nations. hell look what happened to dubai, uae, saudi. their tax rate is at 2.5 % because they are so wealthy.
my point is that if u look at the bigger picture, most eastern nations are doing exactly what the Europeans and americans did in the early 20th century. building their countries.
