Plainly, someone was not paying attention. That'd be us. A seven-year-old can see the problem. Honestly, though, the real problems surface only when there have been claims of fraud, or when the election has been otherwise contested. When things are going along with no problem, it is easy to say, "Oh, yeah, in America we have states' rights."
How cleverly the democrat played this one. It is actually a testimony to their criminal genius. It reminds us of what law enforcement used to say during the Obama administration; that is, "Who are we supposed to complain to? Eric Holder?"
One of the things the democrat did right was to transform the judiciary. Whatever may be said, at one time, the Judiciary Branch was a cohesive organization. Considering the nature of their work, they had to stick together. Who else would? That also resulted in a kind of self-governance. No judge wanted to bring the heat on the rest of them by acting in corruption.
Now, we have iron and clay. They don't stick together. They hate each other. They work at odds. The criminals know where to commit the crimes and the honest people know what areas to avoid, depending on the judges..
That's the part of the population we're better off not talking to.
Strictly business, hey? At least, that is what we have been led to believe.

Hypothesis -- Once the generations have been thoroughly demoralized, the national cultures and institutions come under attack. The moment the situation becomes no longer tolerable, the people cry out for a return to sanity. World Government steps up as the new solution, the new boss. They do not want Trump and the patriots; They cry out to the United Nations and the global NGO, who are ready to step in with the new needed authority. Tell me this is not what happened.
