This situation started the day prior over a call from a person worried because they saw someone with a gun. The police consequently pursued a lead with the context that someone called in with concerns over safety and livelihood. The police get blamed for what happens in the end.
So people somehow are against police treatment of black men, but still call the police when they personally are afraid of a black man. They call the police because they don't have their own guns, and want the police to handle the situation they are personally afraid of with THEIR guns. Then if the guy with the gun dies, then guns arent all that bad all of a sudden.
