Nah, in Burma they got it right - the military weren't pointing their guns at the people protesting the usurpers, they took the usurpers out at gunpoint. From now on we should refer to the armed goons on the fed payroll by a more appropriate descriptor - the Junta's enforcers.

He never invoked martial law or the insurrection act as far as I am aware. Are me making pretend Burma has a better grip on reality and the role of the military in preventing insurrections by communists?

The genesis of the homelessness problem is that the state's authority to forcibly confine people against their will absent a criminal conviction ended as a result of ACLU lawsuits. The changes began with Kennedy who signed the Community Mental Health Centers Construction Act in 1963, LBJ followed that in 1965 by signing legislation that moved federal funding from states such that state run institutions were forced to close for financial reasons, 1962 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' was published, so the California legislation you cite was not the cause of anything, it was a result of the feds under democrat regimes cutting off funding to the states, which in turn was a result of public outrage at the practice of lifetime institutionalization. Reagan responded to changes in the law, federal policies and public sentiment, he did not cause those things.

Reagan didn't sit idly by while his 49 state landslide re election win was brazenly stolen and watch as our republic died a whimpering death. So he's got that going for him.

-1
edxzxz -1 points ago +2 / -3

Yeah, totally Reagan's fault - not at all the fault of the ACLU which fought relentlessly to stop the forced institutionalization of the criminally insane so that they were legally entitled to roam the streets free as birds. Read up on some history, you are horribly uninformed / misinformed.

Bullshit. Want a hot take? How about this - for all you claim Reagan gave our enemies, Trump gave our enemies control over the house, senate, and executive branch and oversaw the death of our republic without exercising any of the myriad powers inherent in the executive. Still 2d best POTUS this century. No one got locked up though, and none of the 25 million illegals were sent back. No voter id, no cleaning out the rot in the alphabet agencies. Wasted opportunities, and all he did will be undone in Biden's first 2 months.

The war in the Pacific would never have happened at all had commie simp FDR not forced the hand of the Japanese by imposing scrap metal and oil embargoes on them to assist the Chicoms. We fought the wrong enemies in WW2.

edxzxz 1 point ago +1 / -0

That argument to me is absolute nonsense - Cuba has suffered through economic stagnation since Castro took over, and the commie grip on power there has not loosened one bit. Under Mao, 95% of Chinese people lived at subsistence levels, which means on the brink of starving to death every day - and that persisted until Nixon opened relations with China in the 1970's - never once in that time did the Chinese Communist Party experience any legitimate challenge to their grip on power. Do people who propose this theory that the Soviets would collapse because of the suffering of their people understand that never once has a communist authoritarian regime been overthrown by its people or collapsed because of their poverty? Seems not.

I remember him saying he would not stop fighting for us, then he conceded the nation's highest office to a fraud.

So Texas fucked up by not diverting more of their resources towards windmills and solar panels, which they already have shitloads of, almost all of them rendered useless because the freak storms covered them in snow and ice? AOC is genuinely retarded.

And had Chernobyl not been in a communist authoritarian state, its design parameters would have been subject to independent research and analysis, with studies showing the specific sequence of operations that led to the meltdown / explosion being publicized and known by the plant's operators, instead of those design 'flaws' being kept secret.

More polar bears now than at any point in time since they started counting them. Some polar bear populations in Canada are over populating so badly they instituted a hunting season to cull their numbers.

Morons who advocate for not building the keystone xl pipeline, advocate banning coal mining, idiots in the northwest who fought against building a shipping port for coal exports, all on the presumption that somehow these things will decrease the global use of fossil fuels ignore the fundamental fact that these resources are a global commodity, and every lump of coal, every drop of oil we do not burn for our own domestic use simply becomes cheaper for other countries to buy and burn them. China is still building new coal fired power plants for 2 reasons - first, because we idiotically forego using cheap fuels like coal, demand is lower so prices are lower, so bingo, cheap fuel sources for China, and second, by establishing a baseline now of generating electricity from coal plants, China can much more easily reach the benchmarks for emissions reductions in the future as 'required' under the stupid fraudulent paris accords. So the oils sands output from Canada won't get piped through keystone to the gulf states of the USA for refining, they'll get piped to Vancouver Canada instead, for export to China - same with coal - Canada built a port just north of Washington State (where the locals made a bold SJW move in blocking the building of a coal export port there) and all the coal is still going to be mined and burned as fuel, just not in or by the USA. Well played, moron SJW's - you accomplished absolutely fucking nothing to reduce the burning of fossil fuels, all you did was kill jobs and make the communist chinese government's fuel purchases less expensive.

Right up until a young prosecutor named Richard M. Nixon successfully prosecuted Alger Hiss, the left insisted McCarthy was just a fear mongering witch hunter and that it was just unfair attacks to claim commies had infiltrated all levels of our government. https://famous-trials.com/algerhiss/650-keyevidence

There is absolutely no f'ing way he should show up for this bullshit. First off, it lends the shitshow legitimacy, secondly, all the dems are frothing at the mouth to try and lead Trump into a perjury trap. His team can present the election fraud evidence. He should service his supermodel wife after a hearty breakfast and follow that up with a round of golf at his world class private country club.

The only thing that would make your story better imho, is if you set out to start your own pool cleaning company, stole all the old boss's clients, and forced the diva queen daughter to have to go out into the real world and try and find work. Also, idk exactly what the new business doing remodels involves, but where I am, loads of chinese and vietnamese immigrants with little to no English do really well buying fixer upper duplexes and triplexes, they live in one unit while they rent the others, get the better mortgage rate for a primary residence, then in a few years they buy another one, then another, etc. Rental properties are great investments. Good luck!

Remember when McDonalds workers insisted they were underpaid, that somehow adults with zero job skills claimed it was an outrage they could not provide for an entire family on the paycheck from a job meant for teenagers and retired people, so they threatened to go on strike? And immediately, self serve kiosks started appearing in every McDonalds so these morons ended up losing their jobs and being replaced by robots that actually did a much better job, so that customers preferred dealing with the kiosks? Good times.

I got my son a legit Russian gas mask a couple years ago, he checked before flying someplace if it met the requirements so he could wear it on the plane and weird people out. The problem with gas masks it seems is they are designed to protect the person wearing it, not at all designed as if the exhaust fumes from a person could somehow be toxic / harmful, so the exhaust is not filtered - at least his was designed that there's a vent that lets the exhaust out, so it doesn't meet the requirements for mask bullshit. I had another mask for use in chemical plants, it has the same kind of exhaust outlet.

Over 95% of China's population lived at a subsistence level at least through the 1970's. If you didn't already know, subsistence level means each day you barely manage to get enough to eat to be able to survive to the next day.

FFS, I saw Rience Priebus last summer on TV saying this time the R's would be engaged in ballot harvesting even though in past elections they refused because they didn't want to 'lower themselves to the dirty business the dems engaged in'. Seems like he failed to do the ballot harvesting well enough to win. The only way this shit stops is when we learn to do it better than them, and use every ploy they've made legal better than they do. The dems will never stop doing these things so long as they can win doing it. Do it better and they will insist it be stopped. The time for the high road is long past being over.

My ex insisted we go to a Bruce Springsteen concert long ago, it was a 'solo acoustic' show, supposed to be him alone playing all acoustic performances of his stuff. There was a long list of rules, including no concessions at all once the first note of the first song was played, and if you left your seat they had blackout curtains at the top of every aisle so if you came back to sit down and Springsteen was in the middle of a set you had to wait (ushers stationed at the top of every aisle to keep you from going through the blackout curtain to sit back down) - and not just wait for that song to end, wait for the entire set to finish. Such a load of pretentious bullshit, but the topper was one of his last sings he played 'Born in the USA' and he walked away from his piano in the middle of playing the song to stomp around clapping his hands on stage, somehow in this one man acoustic performance the piano kept playing even though he stepped completely away from it and was stomping around on stage? Total fraud.

Seems like big pharma's go to move when they find out an older medicine that's out of patent is useful for something new, they just add some other meaningless ingredient and re-patent that as something new they can charge astronomically for. I expect that's when they'll announce their new wonder drug treatment for china flu, when they get patent approval for ivermectin + some other crap.

idk, the average trading volume for GME is under 100k shares, which is pretty low volume, I wouldn't use humongous companies with average trade volumes in the millions as a gauge for what's normal. Also on a somewhat unrelated note, I noticed GE has 101% short interest which seems completely out of whack for a company with nearly 100 billion market cap.
