Personally I would try something a bit more out in left field, like getting half the population hooked on psych meds, feeding them GMO foods, and putting chemicals in the water. If anyone is still fertile after this, we just create a bunch of conflicting social disputes to pit men and women against one another, and then engineer their entertainment to provide them with the dopamine rewards they would normally get from spending time together. Hell, let's mainstream porn while we're at it and make sure everyone's had their dose of vasopressin by the time they leave home in the morning. Bada bing, bada boom, bada societal collapse. Why didn't somebody come up with this sooner?

We can't have a national conversation about anything because a huge number of people are afraid to say what they think, because of the way many on the other side will respond, i.e. by dragging it out of the discussion and into the workplace, the courts, the ravenous mob.
But it's worse than just a lot of people being silent. We can't take seriously what anyone says about race, because no matter what you may think about anything, if you can't safely say the opposite then you are under duress.
What sports does is give people something to talk about at the bar other than politics. I don't give a rat's ass about any sport, but I love that I can go somewhere other than home at the end of the day, and sit down and talk with a bunch of people from the neighborhood, and politics never ever comes up, because if anyone is in a mood to argue they argue about sports.
What makes anyone think these people won't lie under oath? Do we think they probably haven't got their story straight so they'll contradict each other, is that it? Haven't put much effort into planning it out? Have we forgotten who and what we are dealing with?
I read a short story once in which a fellow uses a time machine to escape into the future, and it sucks so he goes further into the future, and it seems nice enough but everyone is a little too placid and periodically the morlocks come by to harvest them. So the traveler says fuck this and jumps into the future again, and it's the same, and again and again. Millions of years pass and it's still the same. Finally I think he dies by falling down some stairs, or somebody stabs him. I'm making some of this up, but that's the basic gist of it. Like most of the 20th century's dark visions of the future it now invokes fond memories of a more innocent time, and we should have made it a reality when we had the chance.

I was prepared to wrap my head around this ban on the assumption you had posted the image to the Hillary sub or some shit. That they claim impersonation for posting it to The_Donald is absurd on its face. They are obviously lashing out over what we're doing here. I think we can expect a lot more of this.

An unfortunate thing about losing the other /pol/ and its host is that over there we also had /leftypol/.
/leftypol/ was full of the usual terrible people, but it also created a situation where those people had to answer for their terrible ideas. It had mostly to do with who was moderating, but in the final reckoning I found myself banned from most of goon-occupied Reddit yet still free to say my piece in /leftypol/. That they couldn't go through my post history and write me off at a glance was probably a major factor.
I'll stop short of recommending such a "containment board" here, but being able to engage with them on their turf without the constant threat of being lolbanned by goons provided us with insight and I hope wasted some of their time - but there's another element here that many might not fully appreciate. We are surrounded by opposition voices, so we can have trouble grasping this, but many on the left receive no exposure whatsoever to ideas that clash with theirs. In their universe the "right wing" is Mitt Romney, RealClearPolitics, and The National Review, while actual right wing communities are viewed as borderline terrorist organizations operating entirely outside the scope of valid debate.
I propose not toleration of such people here, or even a containment board at this domain, but a parallel domain offered as a left wing alternative to this one, maintained in such a way that its users cannot simply put their hands over their ears and sing la la la, I can't hear you like they do all over Reddit.
