The reduction of "income" there, with the increase from the suspension of a payroll tax may just be enough incentive to get people off their ass. I played sports my whole life, and have been a big fan of the teams of my hometown all my life. I haven't watched more than a few minutes to see what my home team was doing in regards to BLM. Haven't tuned in since.

This shutdown of the sport leagues is going to lose a lot of fans, before you factor in the unnecessary politics. Look at what the holdouts did to the leagues over the years, I don't think hockey ever recovered.

I know their initial viewership was up, but I'm expecting this to affect them significantly. It won't all be a result of the politics, but it certainly won't help. I see this time and time again. Most recently with a first generation immigrant. About 6 months ago we had NPR on (only for some perspective) and when this person got to hear a Congress woman's direct comment about monetary compensation for "black women" this person identified the actual racism.

This person is no longer a default Democrat, and discovered their actual values were held by conservatives.
