Governments borrow money from a cartel of private banks (owned by wealthy individuals) masquerading as government bodies (federal reserve etc). Tax payers then pay off the interest the loans accrue. Governments don't own their currency/money - super wealthy, old financier families do.
If you go to IMDB there are only 3 movies ranked in the top 40 movies of all time from the last decade, one of which is Korean and the other was made in 2009 (Inception)(. Says a lot considering how much cheaper movie making is: cameras, SFX, distribution etc, as well as ready access to a global labor pool of actors, directors, writers etc.

This is getting embarrassing. All we do is whine, complain and protest while they build and own important assets (or seize control of assets) and then kick us off. We get it for the thousandth fucking time - they are hypocrites and control freaks - but we are DNB's (do nothing bitches). Lets start building our own infrastructure and/or restricting them from accessing our assets and posting those stories.

Exactly, and Im getting sick of people trying to shake off this tyranny with peaceful protests, clever memes, tweeting, lawsuits, waiting, praying etc. These criminals aren't looking for civil debate and compromise. They only understand physical force, and the longer we wait the more power they get. We have to strike before they take whitehouse.
I was thinking about this too. We can cut them off as well. See how many gadgets they can make without the hard labor of those that provide it. The key is to do it before they get the robotics and AI going. Then we're probably fucked.
