I think sometimes its hard for older people to shake off the entrainment. Their minds are not as flexible and their emotions/bodies are worn out, so the propoganda can nestle in if repeated often enough. My dad is the same. A few hours in a trance state absorbing the tv and he gets indoctrinated.
