I get what you mean. "Give credit where credit is due" is what changed me from not liking Hillary or Trump to knowing Trump is the best president of my lifetime. If I was in the position to vote for Manchin or a MAGA candidate then I would obviously drop Manchin like a sack of Bidens.
Remember what Facebook did to people to get them to sign up in the first place? They made you feel like you were being left out of something. They played on your emotions. They admit in court documents. Everyone wanted to be in that network but only Harvard, then a few other ELITE schools. Then everyone in college. Then everyone college age was encouraged while parents/grandparents were discouraged. Then they were on and the site aged and dug deeper into your life. You are attached at the feels. See it and cut it. Fully delete and do not look back.
Totally! This has been my argument with a lot of people. Me: "name the starting lineup for X Team" Them: "[names them all and includes players that have been traded for a bonus]" Me: "what are the first 10 Amendments of the Constitution?" Them: "freedom of speech, bare arms is in there, nobody can live in my house but me...." totally mind blowing. If they only know that imagine how clueless they are about local politics....just recognize the guy at the game saying he is going to get more funding for the stadium or some such bullshit. I hate Chicago.
Quit facebook and dont look back! Be sure to troll some of those lefty friends I know you have before you leave. And dont just deactivate it fully delete it and stay signed out. Any of those little rage feelings that pop up due to facebook viewing automatically go away. Any friends you actually have on there are still your friends all the other people are just a waste of your mental capacity.
Of course its foreign. Chinatown Chicago is foreign. Pretending its not its own separate intentionally foreign place is bullshit. Whats the test you say? Is everything in Chinatown "American"? No, we know better, it'S Chinese American, its Asian American. Are we talking proximity? If so then by their definition Canada is a foreign land? Cuba is the same as Springfield, IL? Or maybe one is "foreign" to the other? Or what 'measuring stick' they are using? Trick question, they arent. Its the same old 'doh hoh, gotcha'..the stuff most sane people look at and go "Ohhh kay...moving on with my day".
This is in Springfield, MO (Cherry St I think). Bass Pro Shops is right down the road from this campus. All surrounded by red counties; hunting, fishing, boating. Then you have this town, which is great, but turning blue fast. Largely because of the multiple colleges there.
