This is largely what I have believed since election night. Sometimes the easiest way to get what you want in the legal system is to do what you want anyway and let the other guy spend resources to come after you. If you try to correct an injustice through the courts first, you have to expend your own resources. You get more optionality with forcing the other guy to come after you because the chance exists where he won't come after you.

This lady is probably an abuse victim. I try not to mock people like this, but I've also found it's hard to become friends with people like this.
